I only rated one star because I HAD to. Every time I went which was a total of 3 times! Once I ordered the pernil, which is pork, I have gone home sick and with a headache. By nightfall I was throwing up. That was just the first time, the second time I went I was told I was not allowed to be on my phone texting my mom ( I was texting her to see if she wanted anything from there). The owner told me I had to get off of my phone because it was a family restaurant. Now if they had a sign outside that stated phones were not allowed while dining I would not have had my phone out. No where did it state those rules. I told her I will not put my phone away I was in the middle of a message and that there were no signs stating that. The THIRD time I gave them a try I ordered two appetizers and was charged for 4 of them. At that point she argued with me about what I got when I showed her the table I was at I clearly stated that I had only ordered two appetizers with her husband. Her husband came to the register and corrected her on her mistake. Instead of apologizing she threw my money on the table and turned away. It’s awful to see a bad Apple run off paying customers. Her husband is an absolute sweetheart and apologized to my boyfriend and I. Unfortunately for her bad attitude we will not be going back. I also will not recommend her to others due to her behavior on two separate occasions. Small owned businesses are supposed to be happy people and adore their customers that bring no trouble. If it were just her husband running the show I would be back in a heart beat. If they ever get a divorce and he ends up with the shop, my family will be spending money there again ! Her husband has outstanding customer service and just an all around people person. I am sorry you lost 3 customers due...
Read moreThis place is a multicultural gem located off the Schuylkill Rail Trail. El Rincon Cirillo is and awesome slice of Puertrican warmth in Spring City. Stepping into the restaurant is to go into a cathedral of culture. The walls are covered with Spanish and diverse pictures and paintings. Beautiful and inspirational sayings are stenciled across the walls from Ghandi to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. From Hawaiian to African. And... I haven't even gotten to the food as yet.
Mom and Pop, the proprietors, remind me of members of my own family. Myself and a group of cyclist who stopped by felt as if we were at an Aunt's or Uncle's home being fed and pampered. We ordered chicken patties and plantains with beef. They were prepared fresh as we waited in the pew like benches in the sitting area.
Mom engaged us in conversation about the painting of her three sons who served in the military. When our food was ready we were even offered a sample of Pop's special pulled pork atop rice and beans. The food was tasty, fresh and excellent. But above all it was served with a lot of love as the proprietors tended to us while we ate our meal. Such a wonderful couple.
Oh, be sure that you go to the tiny bathroom. You'll see the gems written upon the walls and the toilet tank.
This is not just a food stop... It is an experience. Treat yourself and your friends. ...
Read more. We went there to support small business in the area. I felt rush! We were getting our drinks and the lady at the register keep asking us for payment. So we didn’t add anything else I just paid. The lack of customer service is embarrassing. Be aware you still need a face mask and there’s no eat in. I’m ok with wearing face mask I usually wear one in public but the guy will start screaming at you as soon you enter then after he took my order and we paid then he screamed again There’s no eat in! Lol and the food? mediocre beef stew with no meat and no flavor! We love to support small business in the area but we will not go back to this place. Bad food and bad customer. And we were the only customers in the store. The guys was just talking outside the kitchen when we got there. Don’t expect a warm greeting either lol not sure how they still...
