This restaurant has been my favorite since I first ate there about a year ago. But last night was a pure joke. We went in and were seated within a reasonable time. We were seated in a section that wasn’t too busy—a table of 2 and a table of about 6. There were 3 of us. Our server was the woman who seated us (she never said her name and if she was wearing a name tag I did not see it). I had to send my drink back because there was something on the inside of the glass and the two guys that were with me realized after my drink had been changed that there was a film/something floating on their drinks but they did not ask for new drinks they just stopped drinking once they realized this. We ordered our food. I asked for a chef salad and was given a Cobb salad. The man who brought out our food was very nice and got my order fixed quickly. When he brought back my salad we asked for different drinks for the guys since our server had not returned to check on the table. He got the drinks to us very quickly. We ate our food and no complaints on the quality of the food. Our server did finally check on us and we were able to get ketchup for the guys. She did not return to our table until she asked if we were ready for the check. I don’t complain often, but the service was just horrible. I wish I knew the name of the guy that brought out our food so that the tip could have gone to him. He was friendly, caring and accurate where as our server had absolutely no personality, an attitude of laziness, and did not even care to ask us how we were doing the many times she walked by our table. I use to be a server so I know they tell you not to bother the guest too much but there is a difference between n trying not to annoy and simply not caring.the food I give 4 stars, the cleanliness I give 1 star, the service I wish I could give 0 stars. One suggestion I have is putting more light in the area the drinks are made so hopefully the servers can see if something in in/on the glasses. We won’t be back (at least not to...
Read moreAshton was by far one of the most disrespectful servers my family and I have ever had.
We came in TWO HOURS before closing. When we sat down, it took several minutes for us to even get a menu. Before we even got our food, this dude started slamming the chairs up onto the tables (basically a way to to tell your customers to get out)
When he finally stopped roaming the kitchen doing who knows what, we were told that the oven had been turned off (again, entire hours before the closing time) so all we could order were appetizers. After we told him our other entrees, the only thing we were brought after a long wait was a single pizza.
Once I asked for the check, he came around more times than he had before to see if I was ready to pay the bill.
I really hope these aren’t the standards management has set for their servers. I’ve had excellent experiences during the daytime and on previous nights as well which is why I’m not giving it a single star.
My advice is to never ever try to run off your guests especially when you have a full dining room on the other side. If you do have to turn off the oven hours before closing, I would like to know where the notice...
Read moreLast night, my wife, brother-in-law and I went to Jonathan's Grille in Spring Hill, TN for dinner. We were promptly seated at 6:15pm and the restaurant was modestly crowded. Between the concrete floor and glass windows, the place was so noisy we could hardly hear each other. I suggest the owners install some sound dampening materials in this restaurant to alleviate the noise issue.
The food order was taken promptly and was delivered hot and relatively quickly. The waitress was attentive and professional. Just as it should be.
At the end of the dinner, when presented with the bill, I saw there was a "HOSPITALITY FEE" in addition to the 9.5% sales tax and 12% (approx.) Tennessee Liquor tax fee on wine sales. I asked the waitress what the Hospitality Fee was for, and she said she gets none of it (to make sure I didn't short her on a 20% tip) but that the fee is charged by management for overhead expenses.
I don't know about you, but I feel as though I am being Taxed and asked for Tips far too much these days. I don't like the fact the HOSPITALITY FEE is not disclosed to you up front. Jonathan's Grille surprises you at the end. Not Cool and not...
