My experience here sucked. As someone from NJ, when it comes to living in Vegas and trying to find a good Italian place itâs like trying to find a yellow hair in a bale of hay. Itâs almost impossible. But at least most places have good service that are willing to work for their tip. This place? Ha, they donât give af.
I came in at about 11:37pm and I sat right down at a booth. Immediately someone from the bar came to my table and asked me what Iâd like to drink with a menu in hand for me and I got my water pretty quickly. Sounds pretty good so far, right? Well, donât get excited just yet.
I placed the menu down in front of me and waited 10 minutes for my waiter but no one came. Another group of people walked in, they sat behind me and the waitress (not the same person from the bar) came to their side, asked what theyâd like to drink then walked away. Oooookay. That same waitress returned with their drinks and menus, walked away again. âAm I invisible here?â I started thinking. Then she returns to take their order. I shot her a glance over my shoulder like, âhey oh, what about me?â She comes to my table, asks what I decided on. No apologies like there was nothing wrong. Itâs cool, I like sitting in a smoky environment, hungry as all hell waiting for you to take my order⌠finally get my order in. Again waiting.
I get my food. This is not good food. Not only is my garlic bread not buttery like it says it would be on the menu, the cheese is cold and coming off of it like it wasnât even at least under a plate warmer. Honestly, it looks like someone finished taking a bong rip before finishing up their quick and cheap college meal. Warmed bread with slices of white American cheese mmmmm, so Italian. The eggplant parmigiana was alright but noodles were not al dente and the marinara sauce needs a lot of help. Itâs like ketchup with salsa mixed together. Bland and some what citrusy. Itâs embarrassing. Whatever was in it, it gave me sores on my tongue. Never had that happen before.
Last thing, I ended up waiting for a while to see my waitress again but she never came back. I initially thought it was only thirty minutes after I had finished eating but when I got back to my car I realized the time read 1:33AM. I waited for my waitress to return for about an hour. I watched the table behind me get up and leave well before. I sat there thinking, âoh she got them their check maybe sheâll bring mine soon too.â To, âhmmm where could she be?â Then, âdid they just dine and ditch?â âThey must have dined and dipped out on paying.â âSheâs never coming back is she?â I finally felt tired and thought âIâve gone through enough instagram reels, where the hell is my waitress?â Pissed off, I stood up and went to the bar. Paid my check. Left.
She never came back. There was never any notice from her or anyone else that sheâd be leaving for the night. Like I was just supposed to know what to do.
If you enjoy smoky bars with garbage music, waiting long times for mediocre college ranking, cheap and easy, Italian themed plates then this is the place for you. Check...
Read moreI waited a day to write this review because I didn't want to do it based on emotions at the time.
I've been ordering food for delivery for over 35 years and just had the worst experience ever. The service was inexcusable and the food was awful.
I was in the mood for lasagna, my favorite dish, went to Grub Hub, and decided to try a new restaurant and decided on Giuseppe's.
We got lasagna, chicken fingers and a turkey sandwich. They arrived a few minutes early so I was pleasantly surprised at that. Everything went down-hill after that.
The girl delivering did not smile (most do). She did not say hi (most do). She did not say thanks (virtually all do). She actually threw the food to me, turned around and walked away without saying anything.
The funny/sad thing I actually tipped big ahead of time. Maybe she figured, âI already got my tip so I don't have to me nice to him....or even actually hand the food to him.â
I'm in a wheelchair so the food fell in my lap. The lasagna was actually on it's side instead of laying flat so it was all over the container.
I don't know if she works for the restaurant or Grub Hub. The food was awful so I'm guessing she works for Giuseppe's, but I don't know.
As I said, lasagna is my favorite dish. I've had it all over the country (I've lived in 9 states and visited many more). This was easily the most bland lasagna I've ever had. Not only that, it's more expensive than all the other places I've ordered from (I don't mind paying for quality) and it didn't come with a salad.
One place I usually get lasagna from is a few bucks cheaper and comes with a salad. So, this was a massive disappointment.....the fact is was all over the container because it was literally thrown to me and on it's side didn't help.
The turkey sandwich was decent. However, the fries that came with it were greasy, cold and limp. They literally looked like they had been sitting in some basket for half a day that someone forgot about and decided to throw them in with this order instead of throwing them out.
Decided to get the chicken fingers with their garlic sauce. The only word I can think of is ânasty.â That stuff was really gross. They also didn't come with any fries, when most restaurants include them. Seeing as how awful their fries are, that's probably a good thing.
If you're in a wheelchair, you better hope she doesn't bring your food to you because she will literally throw it to you instead of handing it to you.
And if you want food that isn't awful, I'd suggest a different place because I haven't been that disappointed in a very long time. There have been times I didn't think the food was great, but it's rare I think the food is just...
Read moreNice experience at Giuseppeâs. The location is set in a nice part of town and has easily accessible parking. Upon getting to the location we were immediately sat and provided with our drinks. Drinks are a little pricier ($3.50) for fountains; however, there are unlimited refills. Starting with the French Onion I would say its unimpressive, but it does warm you up. The onions are cut too thickly and thereâs simply too many of them. The taste is pleasing but the consistency is slightly watery despite the heaps of onion. We then ordered the rustic pizza, calzone, and fish fry. The pizza was good, the crust was mad perfectly and beats most Italian places on the strip. I would recommend keeping the tomatoes off the pizza as it somewhat interferes with the taste. We were absolutely astounded by the calzone, it was HUGE!! (Included pictures below). The only issue is that the waiter did not tell us about the size of the thing, nor that each topping inside costs extra. The bread yet again was perfect; however I wish I chose different toppings as the mushrooms and onions were slightly underdone. The fish fry is a fantastic deal as it is all you can eat for the fish! (All you can eat fish fry is only on Fridays) Overall we experienced an enjoyable meal. Would recommend coming here as a local.
