I discovered this restaurant while staying in the area and was immediately hooked. I actually visited 3 times over the span of a week and really enjoyed the menu. The service however was not as consistent.
I ordered the chicken Kabobs each time and found them to be cooked perfectly and not dried out at all. The rice was fluffy, the salad was quite fresh. Their greek dressing is great. The pita seemed homemade and delicious. They are quite skimpy with the side of tzatziki and you really should get an extra. It too was good, just not enough of it. I also tried the fries and the baklava and they were both nicely done. I really don't have a single complaint about the food.
On my final visit I tried to order online and found it wouldn't accept the order I guess since they were closing in about 45 minutes. I called and they said I could order on the phone no problem. They quoted me 10 minutes and I was sure to be there in 10 minutes. That is where it got weird. I asked for my order and she typed away in the register as if she was booking an airline ticket. I gave her the name I gave on the phone, Jim. She eventually said "James? " Yes that is my legal name but not what I told them on the phone. They apparently had a record me me from my previous orders. She ended up calling over other people, pointing at things. I couldn't imagine what was so complicated. Then she started speaking in another language to the other staff, Greek? Russian? I have no idea but I am sure their English is just fine. They obviously were talking about me. She then took my money including a tip as I assumed they were about to hand me the food. Other customers came and went, ordering and picking up food without issue. Staff kept coming by and noticing I was standing there for a long time, I saw the kitchen staff point to me and ask what was going on. Nobody spoke to me though.
25 minutes later my food came up. That's a long shot from 10. They never apologized, never explained what the issue was, never tried to make up for it with a desert or even a cup of water. I suspect they forgot to put in the order. I also heard them telling other people they ran out of rice, so perhaps they made some for me since they accepted the order. Regardless I felt very uncomfortable and unappreciated after this visit and will not be back to this location. Order at your own risk. If and when you get the food it will probably be good though.
Also on my first visit they made it very clear they wanted a tip after I didn't include one online and they made a big deal about signing the receipt for an already paid for order. Other reviews seem to echo this attitude as well. Tipping is for good service, it's not mandatory for a...
