I don’t want to be entirely unfair here, as this place has been decent in the past and I understand when places are busy. They have great creations and a $5 waffle Wednesday. The individual that’s always working when I come in is super nice and knowledgeable about dietary differences. I ordered an iced beverage and vegan wafflewich to go. My drink arrived in a timely manner but I waited 40 minutes for the waffle to go. Everyone who came after me got their items (including waffles) and the gals who ordered right before me had already eaten their waffles and left way before I even got my order. It seemed like today was extremely off for them, tons of mistakes for people who came back in about them. However, speaking of my own situation, I drive 10 miles to go to this place because I’ve loved it in the past. But it was not that busy to where they couldn’t keep up. 5-6 people were in there, even photographing a drink being made, one sweeping in back, another casually opening a bag of lettuce that took a few minutes. I inquired twice to make sure they hadn’t forgotten I was standing by the corner of the counter/about my order. No one was making food for quite awhile during my 40 minute waffle wait and that’s where the issue was. I had even left a tip in the otherwise empty tip cup. A man on my way out told me to please mention his issue (he was waiting too) online and lucky for everyone, I actually review coffee shops for several publications. 3 stars for the one consistent employee and unique creations but it kind of ruined my whole day. Coffee outings are my times to venture out and support non-chains and relax and this was anything but. Photo posted up on IG stories 5 minutes before my order was finally ready. *they did reach out and make things right. Doesn’t negate the long wait but I’ll bump things back up a star because I prefer not to support...
Read moreThis is my second time having TIABI Waffles and I’m truly loving it.
My first experience was takeout. I was just looking for quick vegan breakfast here in Las Vegas, which can feel very limited in terms of options. Lo and behold, this place is right down the road from me and they have vegan waffle sandwiches???? Sign me up. Ordered the The Green-wich and a cold brew. The waffle is soft, yet crispy. The sandwich was freaking delicious. Fresh ingredients, well-constructed. The cold brew was sneaky good. Not over-steeped. Beautiful color.
Second time, I was eating in. I ordered the spicy vegan vegan sandwich. The cold brew was calling my name again, and it was honestly just as good if not better the second time. Spicy vegan sandwich was good to the last bite. I practically inhaled it. The staff was awesome and the location was cozy. I docked it a star because the person working behind the counter was working solo and forgot one of our drinks, which was a tea and it had been over-steeped because it had been forgotten for too long. Not a huge deal, but I hope that they are able to get some more help in there so one poor soul doesn’t have to do everything by themselves.
Aside from that one very minor issue, I’d say this is definitely a solid choice - especially if you’re looking for a good vegan breakfast that’s a little out of the ordinary in the best...
Read moreWe visited as part of our Las Vegas Café Passport. We enjoyed our Maple Cortado and Java Jolt. We also ordered a Butter Pecan Waffle, but I found it to be overly sweet. It was loaded with whipped cream and maple syrup, which instantly made most of the waffle soft and soggy. Only the edges remained crisp. Had I known this, I would have asked for a tenth of these two ingredients. If, however, you prefer diabetes, go for it! I cannot eat in this manner, personally. Texture and sugar content matters. Service was outstanding; we were greeted and waited on professionally and with kindness. Our questions were answered with patience, and since we were new here, we asked a few. A few tables were sticky and NO napkins are available to use. The bottoms of our ceramic cups were dry but sticky as well. Restroom was coded and either code did not work or the room was occupied for 15 minutes, so we went to the car for wipes for our table and cleaned it ourselves; I also used my own cutlery as the bent/dirty one I was provided was not my style. The vinyl chairs were so cracked and old, my dress would have been snagged if I sat upon them,so I had to choose a dirty table with wood chairs. We hope this helps, as we provide honest feedback for those who wish to visit and want to know...
