TLDR at bottom of review. I’m kind of speechless. Me and my buddies checked this place out while staying in Vegas. Unfortunately, I didn’t try their entire menu. However, from a few of items that I’ve tried, it was nothing less than spectacular! I’m going to post a picture and you may wonder what you’re looking at and the thing is, I’m a picky eater, so I typically don’t plan on taking pictures because I don’t expect the majority of food to taste great. But , starting with the oysters, fantastic! I ordered 3 different oysters as my 6-piece and they all tasted great. The smaller oysters taste best. Furthermore, we had the seared albacore tataki and it was just so freaking good that the meat would nearly melt in your mouth. Mind blowing! I then had the grilled octopus and if anyone knows anything about octopus, it’s typically chewy. I’ve had amazing octopus in a paella in Lisbon Portugal a few years ago, which they’re known for the best octupus, and I could compare this dish with that one ANY day! Octupus is always a bit chewy but the better it’s prepped, the more tender it is. The marinara sauce paired amazingly with it! Last but not least, their server was on par. He sat us down at our table, quickly gave a briefing of the menus, requested drink orders, highlighted some house specials and their popular items and moved on to grab our drinks. Throughout the ordering, we would ask a variety of questions and suggestions and he was really good at giving us a LOT of insight so we didn’t feel lost in a restaurant we’ve never been in. The price is a tad on the higher end and you can expect to spend at least $15 and up to $50 or more depending on how much food you get. Not all dishes are large either, but for the quality, very well worth it! Highly recommend, would come again 13/10. TLDR; I’m a picky eater so I don’t post good reviews often. High quality food, good service, and reasonably priced for the quality and taste of the food. Expect to spend about $20-$50 depending on what you get.

Located at the strip mall on Durango and Twain Rd. Had some friends who were visiting Las Vegas. Was only able to make Reservations for 9pm…they close at 10pm so had to order and eat kinda quickly. Ok this what we all ordered: 1.) Agedashi Tofu: my friend said it was mushy and not crispy because they poor the sauce over entire bowl! Note: if you prefer crispy tofu ask them to serve with sauce on the side. 2.) Avocado+Cucumber+Asparagus Sushi Roll. My friend said it vegetables were fresh and tasty. 3.) Tuna Avocado Cut Roll. My friend said it was tasty. 4.) Sashimi Combination (Chef Selection). The Sashimi was very fresh but we did not like 2 of the chefs choices. 5.) Unagi Sashimi. The pieces were very small and I requested extra crispy it was Not. 6.) Japanese Fried Chicken. This was very tasty and to dipping sauce was great. Chicken pieces were a bit small. 7.) I ordered Yellowtail Jalapeño, but we got Hamachi Collar instead server screwed up. It was moist but not what we wanted and it was too late to get the order fixed! 8.) Shrimp Tempura. This was fried perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The dipping sauce was very good. 9.) Key-lime Pie. Just the right tartness and loved the Graham Cracker Crust. 10.) Nutella Ice Cream. My friend like it. 11.) Miso Honey Ice Cream this was tasty, reminds me of something Salt & Straw would serve. My suggestion is to eat there early like before 9pm and make sure the server hears exactly what you order!

I was looking everywhere for real fresh oysters, and this is probably the only place in town that has them at a reasonable price. At three dollars an oyster, it’s about the same average you’d find in any big city. I tried Bluepoints from New York, Mer Bleue and Summer Love from Prince Edward Island, and Miyagis from Washington—and they were all excellent. The only thing that was a little off was the service. It seemed like they were struggling, which is frustrating, but probably due to their location and the economy. When I came in, it was pretty empty, yet they still asked for a reservation. I did have one, but I muttered under my breath, “Do I really need it?”—and it clearly upset the waiter. They ended up seating everyone together in one corner—even though it’s a giant restaurant with plenty of space. We could all hear each other’s conversations, which took away from the experience. That being said, the food itself was great. Honestly, that’s the only reason I wouldn’t give this place a higher score: the lack of respect in how we were treated. I get it—walking into a $200 meal wearing flip-flops doesn’t make me look very serious—but come on, you can’t judge a book by its cover. We still tipped $30, which was over 20%. Cocktails were on point. Didn’t realize it was a sushi restaurant. Came for the 🦪 oyster and left full.

I love trying new places and I was informed this place had some great food. If I were to just rate on ambiance alone, it would definitely receive more stars, but a restaurant needs more than just decor to be a great place to eat. There really were not that many people enjoying dinner, a couple large groups some people at the sushi bar, and others scattered about. I did notice a few open 4 tops that were open and a couple 2 tops that were extremely code to one another, almost bistro style. My significant other and I were seated at one of the two tops which literally was inches away from a women waiting for her date to arrive. We placed our drink orders and the woman's date showed up. I realize that this restaurant cannot really be held responsible for an overly rowdy couple on a date, but when there are several open seats, you would think placing people inches from one another could be avoided. Our server was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered a few different plates to share and one entry that our server recommended was the PBR Hot Pot. Prior to the PBR Hot Pot, we explained that it was my significant others birthday and apparently this restaurant does nothing to celebrate at all, as nothing was offered. When the pot arrived we were informed that it was hot.

We instantly noticed a rancid smell and it seemed to be coming from the pot. It actually smells like sewage. We thought for sure we were mistaken and decided to try the steaming pot of what could potentially be either the worst or best thing we have ever tried, after a few sips of the broth, we tried the shrimp, I took one bite and had to put the rest on a plate, it did not taste that great. I thought I would give it one more shot and took one bite of the mussel and almost vomited! I actually had to excuse myself and make a quick exit to the bathroom where I spit the disgusting food into the toilet. I tried rinsing the nasty taste out of my mouth but to no avail. Once back to the table, my significant other and I decided that we were pretty disgusted by the last dish and ordered nothing else. I would say within 45 mins to an hour we both started feeling ill, upset stomachs which resulted to several trips to the bathroom, thankfully there are a few at home to use.

The day after our visit we were both still frequenting our toilets and could not shake the upset stomach that resulted in that disgusting "hot pot"

I would not recommend this place to anyone and even shared my experience with several friends.

Because I have been sick for the entire evening of our visit and the complete following day and night afterwards, I cannot rate this higher than a 1, food...

Not sure if we were on an off night but our experience was overall disappointing. The food was okay but found a general over and unnecessary use of soy sauce. We ordered the seared albacore tataki which swam in so much soy sauce that each slice of fish was brown-soaked salt bomb. The miso-ribs were tender and well-cooked, but again was smothered in so much soy-sauce that any delicateness from the miso was over-powered. By far the worst soy-sauce offender was the oyster sake bomb - which was a thumb sized oyster marinated in shot of soy sauce. This was absolutely not edible. I am not sure in what universe someone tried this oyster shooter and thought this would be appropriate for human consumption. We shared the feedback with the server and he did not care. Maybe use the low sodium soy sauce?? I can't help but think this restaurant is trying to be "Asian" by adding soy sauce wherever they can (similar to places that try to add "ginger" to give Asian flare). The French toast caviar was also extremely disappointing. The French toast was cold and stodgy, all pieces unevenly cut and sadly presented. I wouldn't normally be so critical, however at the $29 price point for 4 tiny pieces - I am expecting amazing bites. Instead what we got were 4 soggy pieces of (cold) French toast with a smear of cream cheese and a small dollop of paddle fish roe (not even real caviar). Everything else we ordered was good but not memorable. Overall I cannot recommend this restaurant. The restaurant attempts to be elevated but does not have the attention to detail, flavor balance, service level and ambiance to match the price point. Drinks were...
