[Above all, will I be back?] It is a big park with lots of activities so I will be back if I am in the area in the future.
Ambience It is a huge park with few baseball fields, a soccer field, a skate park, a swimming pool, a roller hockey rinks, and 3 dog parks (cycle through maintenance for grass growing, etc). Nice grass. Many homeless dwelling near water pad area and here and there throughout the park. Not sure if I want to come here at night. There is a community center with a lot of programs and events like Asian new year festival, Tacos & Tamales. Several entrances/exits.
Skate park: It was built in 1996. Nice layout. Large bowl and 5ft transition/pipe area. Banks, flatland and vert.Lots of memorials around the park, even for the dead skate boards! Good for beginners as there are low transitions.
Restroom It was clean and well maintained. Gender separated.
Location It is near the Lakes, between Summerlin and Spring Valley. On Durango and W Spring Mountain Rd.
Parking Plenty of parking spaces to the skate park.

Unfortunately, the city doesn't seem to care. Littered with homeless garbage and even a tent now. Who knew you can camp in city parks and parking lots. When someone gets hurt the city will pay the dearly.
If one calls Justin Jones's office, he seems to think it is the reality of living in the city. Couldn't agree less with that. He obviously doesn't use or care about this park's and the dangers of homeless people without services for addictions.
Don't go on a Monday because it is litter with modelo bottles after Soccer Sunday (eventhough no alcohol allowed in the park) (yet again rules but no enforcement).
It has huge potential. Just needs a commissioner our council person that cares about parks in his...
Read moreParking for the baseball fields is the worst I've come across. The tiny lot near the fields is always full, and there are no signs to guide you to other parking. With everyone looking for a spot, they're not paying attention to driving, families walking, nor other vehicles around them.
I was there for a 3-day tournament, and there were no food concessions stands. Bleacher seating is good. It's all concrete, so don't expect to set up under any shady trees on the grass.
I was impressed by the grounds crew. Between innings, they watered down the infield and re-chalked some of the lines. The umps were fair and unbiased.
I sure hope we don't have more tournaments...
