I gave five stars because of the superb atmosphere and customer service. I ordered the fried oysters which were out of this world. Very plump, large and felt very fresh to taste. The outer coating was perfectly balanced and had great seasonings. Nothing overpowering. The sauces were good as well except for the tartar sauce it was way too much mayonnaise and not enough flavor. I also ordered the catfish which when it came out. It did not come out what I expected. It was pan-seared it look like, with a very thin coating of some type of breading. It wasn't crunchy. It was soft and mushy . Extremely low on the flavor profile. I didn't taste much of any seasonings maybe a little bit of salt and pepper. It was basically the texture I couldn't get past. And it was very small portion it was only two fillets and it came with a small amount of french fries that were just blah. I had to add salt and pepper to that and even dip it into the sauce to make it taste good. I hated to give this review for the fact that I really did like the service that they provided I just found the food to be mediocre except for the fried oysters. My friend got a salad which I found to be okay. Nothing to be excited about. She also ordered the fried shrimp. Which I found to be pretty good as well. They were large, butterflied and the coating ratio to the shrimp itself was pleasing. The prices itself were okay they weren't too expensive. But it would have been better if the portion sizes were little bit larger when it comes to the entrees. Would I go back? I probably would go back because I like the atmosphere and the customer service. I may only order a couple things off the menu. It wouldn't be my go-to place unfortunately which I wanted it to...

Usually Shucks is one of my favorite places to eat good prices great good usually great service. So today came in for small business meeting. I ordered a beer which was an 805 on the drinks menu states its 7$ but on my check showed 8. I ordered my usual half pound of Dungeness crab which was great as usual. Ordered a pound of crawfish from the appetizers menu which states it is served with garlic bread and corn on a cob but neither were served with it. My business partner ordered a burger which was actually very good. I proceeded to order my usual clam chowder in a sourdough bowl. Sad to say I didnt get to enjoy it stated as if had gone bad or was about to or maybe it was an old batch. Sad to say I got sick from it. Then the server I understand she might be new but the attitude she had with the customers around and comments she was saying when people started coming in was not appropriate for a server to be saying. I have worked in the customer service industry for over 10 years. And not once did I speak to my customers in that tone nor make comments like ugh is he going to come out and help me. The gentlemen busser came by to my table when I called him over for my check and to notify him of the issue with the chowder. He was kind and said he would talk to the server girl because he agreed with the fact that she shouldn't be acting that way. Sadly left hungry...

If I could give this place negative stars I would, I have lived in Vegas for over a decade and never received service like this. Went in on June 14, 2017 @ 5:30 pm the male bartender on shift should be fired. He ignored me and my GF and attended to only regulars after ordering a beer, and not once asking for refills. After ordering dinner we didn't receive our order untill 45 min later (which was a salad, a wrap, a French fries) and in "to-go" bags when we never requested it. By that time a kind females bartender came on and asked him about us and our order seeing why it was "to-go" since we were at the bar where we ordered. The male bartender lied and said he never took our order. How a 50 year old bartender lies and acts like a child is still beyond my belief. He did comp my beer because I gambled a little but his attitude and demeanor was atrocious and will be going on ever social media platform to complain about this experience. I have worked in customer service for years and don't expect red carpet service but to lie and be ignored for nothing is beyond my belief. I am more upset taking my time to write this but I could not bare this horrible service be unnoticed, I'd expect this from MC Donald's. Sorry but this place can go...

Someone recommended that I dine here while in Vegas. The wait staff was friendly, but the food was subpar at best. I checked the menu in advance and anticipated enjoying a seafood salad and lobster roll. The salad came out first… with a long strand of hair reaching from one side of the plate to the other (literally). I sent the salad back and ordered blackened shrimp tacos instead (pictured below). The lobster roll came out… unfortunately, the menu failed to disclose the fact that the lobster roll was made with imitation lobster, unheard of for a seafood restaurant… needless to say I sent that back also. Finally my blackened shrimp tacos came out… the tacos had three optional methods of preparation for the meat, fried, grilled and blackened… only problem was, instead of the blackened shrimp that I anticipated, it was made with chopped cocktail shrimp and way too much blackening seasoning that was simply put on top of the already cooked shrimp. 🥴 I don’t think my expectations were too high, I only wanted the food as described on their misleading menu. I don’t know how they got such a high rating. Again, the waiter was nice (that one star is for them), but what good is friendly service when they’re serving horrible food

Shucks turns out to be the surprise find of the week! Nice seafood at a nice price, the overall atmosphere didn't necessarily indicate the hidden gem of dining to be found here. Walking in, you have to be buzzed in (after hours - it's 24/7) and other than the faux-shanty decor, the impression is of a typical Las Vegas regulars-slouched-over-machines bar vibe. The menu is something different, however, with pages of mostly seafood offerings. Well, I was looking for late night seafood, so time to give it a go, right? They had $2 off per serving of crab, which was served promptly and was terrific. The wait staff even evidenced true enthusiasm for their menu offerings. Clams in wine sauce were a hit, bread being required to avoid wasting the delectable liquid! The haddock fish fry was the only item I'd call so-so. The fish itself was flaky and perfectly cooked, but the batter was thin and tough. I'll be back!

I ordered shrimp Po Boy, bowl of clam chowder and a blue and black burger. My son liked his burger but I was extremely dissatisfied with the chowder and po boy. I had no idea the shrimp would be the flat butterflied shrimp in every grocery freezer section . To top it off there was two shrimp on each half. The bun was as cheap as you can get and not even toasted. There were just a few strands of shredded lettuce. It was bad. I still have it in the fridge because I couldn’t bring myself to eat it. The clam chowder barely had any potatoes but it did have very raw celery. It was very fishy too. I doctored it up with some creamy potatoes in white sauce that I made so I could eat that. I can’t figure out why a seafood restaurant would even order those cheap frozen shrimp instead of the whole shrimp in a seasoned Cajun spice that you could fry up crispy . I will be more careful about what I order next time. BAD EXPERIENCE !!!
