Yesterday morning (Saturday), my mom and I visited Egg Works on Flamingo near Fort Apache for breakfast. We had a Groupon worth $20 for which we paid $13 and when we walked in at 7.30am, the restaurant was about half full. We each ordered coffee, which came in a large pot. I also asked for a to go coffee when I left, which they were happy to oblige. For food, I ordered the original breakfast burrito, including eggs, bacon, onions, peppers and a delicious salsa. Each entrée comes with Egg Works special home fried potatoes which include paprika and other Mexican-style spices. Egg Works is also known for their banana nut muffins, which are served warm and are sweet and delicious. There are also burgers and other lunch items on the menu as well - the menu itself consists of six or seven pages of selections. Egg Works has an outdoor patio which is dog-friendly. Egg Works does a significant amount of take out business as well, and there is plenty of free parking in the shopping center where the restaurant is located.

Food was really good. Service was great - different servers helped and took care of us, even if we weren't "their table" I am a maple bacon fanatic so I had to try the french toast with Maple Bacon cream cheese. It was amazing! My husband had the Mexican crepe and said it was good. My daughter's pancakes were good, but nothing special. I kept seeing "Habla Diablo" all over the menu and thought it was an extra spicy sauce they use on everything. While there are a couple of Habla Diablo" salsas at the table and some of the food comes with is, the HD fries and breakfast potatoes are simply potatoes tossed in a really yummy seasoning...Like a really good seasoning salt. My husband's breakfast came with some of the HD potatoes and I couldn't stop eating them off his plate. I LOVE salty potatoes and these were some of the best I've ever had. Some might think they were too salty, but they can be ordered with less seasoning. This place is definitely a great place to eat for good food with no frills.

First time to Egg Works in a long time. The food was really good but surprised at the cost. Our bill was $46. I ordered the bacon and avocado omelet, and my husband ordered the Sunrise Mountain (open faced croissant with eggs, sausage, and cheese). He thought it should have more sausage but tasted good. The portions are good a generous size. The potatoes with their Diablo seasoning were really good. He had a carafe of coffee, and I had a raspberry iced tea. Our server was Alma, and she was very sweet and efficient. Not too crowded for 11am on a Monday but started to pick up as we were leaving. They have outdoor seating too, but this is literally just along the building with the parking lot right there. The atmosphere inside was pretty good, and the little train going around the ceiling of the restaurant was cool. Overall, it was a good experience, but just expect to pay $15-$20 per person for breakfast.

We brought our friends from out of town as it is their favorite place from previous visits. 6 people, asked server for 2 separate checks, server said the cashier will do that when we pay. Never heard of that. My husband and I ordered hobo scramble to split, another couple ordered (2) different breakfast and another couple ordered a Spanish spicy scramble to split. Server givesme the food saying it's Hobo scramble I corrected her saying this is not ours. The other couple food will be out in a minute. Doesn't look anything like Hobo scramble, she demands it is so we start splitting it on our plates, I took a bite and it was so spicy we knew it was the wrong order she gave us. Waitress brings the other couples food out and I say that's ours again she corrected me. I try to show her that this egg dish has ground beef, spinach which is the Hobo. Oh she says and switches the plates even though we've already been splitting up. Totally unprofessional. Then says she'll put in a new order, we had already waited 5 minutes between all our food had arrived. Now we're trying to figure out the bill, drinks food etc as to how much we owe not to mention each couple wanting to use credit cards. When paying the cashier said "why didn't you ask for separate checks" alittle attitude. Needless to say our friends and us have a different attitude too. Great food and normally wonderful service, not today...

This is a very sad post for me to put up, but as you all can see this is a very popular breakfast spot. I am most of the time delighted to come here with my family. This particular time wasn't so busy not like the other time I came with way more of my family. I did come here right before 2 p.m. Didn't have a reservation and I know shame on me but I wasn't sure which breakfast spot would be busy. Anyway, get there put in my name and waited for them to send me a text message. Took around 9 minutes to get in. Now we're seated. I was watching my phone since I was keeping myself busy. Took about 10 mins for a young gentleman to bring us 2 waters when there was 3 of us. Now the table next to us had been seated about the time we got our 2 waters. They were approached and asked if they would like to order drinks. They then got them. I know there was a waitress with tattoos on her right arm that had passed by several times and she made eye contact with me and never asked if we needed any help. I thought having our menu's folded back up would alert them that we're ready to order but nope. All I can say is that the breakfast spot up the street will be our families new spot. It's just a sad sad Sunday. Our new breakfast spot was way more prompt to serve us even though it was later when we got there. I'm more then happy to give a business my hard earned money that will treat you like...

Tasty food, excellent customer service, friendly and inviting atmosphere. Have been coming here for breakfast since I moved here several years ago, and family and friends I know have come for longer. The breakfast food is always tasty, the muffins are sooo good. The ingredients are not extravagant, but consistently very good, very well flavored. Portions are large and we almost always have to take some to go. The staff is always friendly, upbeat and engaging, the decorations are nice. If there are ever any concerns with an order, as can happen in a place occasionally, they are prompt to address. Sometimes there is a wait on weekends, but they keep it clean and get you in pretty quickly. Whether there is a crowd or fewer patrons, the service, quality of food, and experience is consistently great. I also like other restuarants that have a bit more variety in terms of vegetables added and creative twists on breakfast items, so they are not my preferred 5 star, however solid 4 star for me and plus my husband loves them and I love going...
