When we arrived as a party of 12 they sat us back to back with a party of 14. We were bumping into eachother trying to getvto our seat. Then we were missing a chair and while saying out loud the host/waiter just stood there. We went to grab another chair. When then get moved over another table that was available the entire time. Get rushed to order our food. Waitress seemed like in a hurry but restaurant was empty. We waited for out water for about 10 minute. Our food takes long to get out. First the pho was delivered so that's half our group with their meals. We asked for extra little bowls for the children. The person delivering the food is very rude. Make us feel like we are a bother to be serving. About 10-15minutes later when they see our other party just sitting there. They come over and ask we like our pho. THEY COMPLETELY FORGOT HALF OF OUR PARTY FOOD! After another 10 minutes they bring out the udon. So now they ask again if we have everything very rudely. we tell him are waiting for chicken salad, a combination fried rice and fried rice and pork plate. They aregue with one of guest saying the pork plate come with only steamed rice. But the waiter failed to realize that you can upgrade the steam rice for fried rice for a few more dollar. About 5 more minutes they bring out the rice plate. But the combination fried rice was brought out wrong and was just shrimp fried rice. The waiter then tries to leave and I have to waive him back and ask for small plates since the rice were for the children. He gets so irritated. We are still waiting for the chicken salad. Over half our table already finished eating, at this point my aunt doesn't even want her salad. We called the waiter and let him know we are still missing the salad. 5 minutes later they bring it out. We stay less than 10 minutes and just ask for togo boxes to take our meals. Even after this horrible service they still charged us and 18 percent tip. Not one apology. Keep in mind we spent over 300...
Read moreWith service that terrible, I'm not surprised that I got home with an incorrect order. But, let's rewind about twenty minutes.
Got a craving for some pho, and Viet has the best at this hour, but also wanted to get out of the house, so I decided to go in and eat. After being seated in one of the booths, the waiter comes up to take my order. I inquire as to what was in the combo pho (I'm not a fan of tripe) as it was one of the four ingredients (in addition to rare steak, tendon and flank), I ordered one without tripe and a side of ribeye. And here, ladies and gentlemen, is when I realize I had made a terrible mistake, as my waiter slams his hand on the menu and exclaims "no". This turns in to him angrily explaining that the ribeye is a side item. Repeatedly. Each time with me acknowledging this fact and still wanting it and each time he would tell me no. After 5 attempts at this, he finally got it. Or so I thought. Already severely irritated by this individual's behaviour, I asked him to make the order to go, because I did not want to interact with this person again, after he had ruined my simple excursion. After a few minutes, a gentleman brings out a big steaming bowl of pho and sets it on the table. I tell him this was to go. He pushes the bowl closer to me. I am losing the last vestiges of my temper as I reiterate that I wanted the food to go. Another member of the staff comes up and explains that the food runner did not understand English, so I explain again the issue. This employee then put in my to go order, which thankfully came out quickly - I paid and left as soon as I could. And upon getting home, poured a ribeye pho into my bowl. No rare steak. No flank. No tendon. Just the ribeye. Even though I got charged for both. I don't know what kind of business they're running here, but I will never go back in person; better to let Postmates deal with the idiocy - plus you get your money back when they completely mess...
Read moreViet Noodle Bar is an absolute nightmare. I'm still reeling from the horrific experience we had at this place.
Our evening was ruined when our car was broken into right in front of their restaurant and all our personal belongings, worth over $5000 were gone, all happened in front of this restaurant.
Upon realizing what had happened, we immediately went inside to seek assistance. We were hoping for some basic human compassion, perhaps even a glance outside to assess the damage. Instead, we were met with a dismissive shrug and a curt "We don't have cameras." They acted like it was a normal occurrence, and they couldn't care less. They even mentioned that it has happened multiple times before, and they've done absolutely nothing to deter it, is infuriating.
Let me be clear: I wasn't expecting them to solve the crime. However, the complete lack of empathy was shocking. The owner (or whoever was in charge) didn't even bother to step outside to see the damage. No offer of help, no concern, just a cold, uncaring attitude.
What makes this even more horrific is that we had our baby and our 7-year-old with us. They were terrified. The shattering glass, the realization that everything we owned was gone, it was traumatic for them. The fact that a crime occurred directly outside their establishment and they couldn't be bothered to even look is utterly unacceptable. It speaks volumes about their disregard for customer safety and well-being.
As for the food, it was...forgettable. Honestly, after the incident, it's hard to remember much of it. The prices were outrageous for the terrible food and service we received.
Viet Noodle Bar is not just a bad restaurant; it's a danger to families. Avoid it at all costs. They don't care about your safety, they don't care about your children, and they certainly don't care about the...
