May Update: ⭐ It has been months, and they called me to ask for me to pay the bill after all despite all the problems we had with delivery. I paid the bill, but asked for maybe a partial refund. They instead decided to give me a promotional credit for next time. I think I and the others who were planning on ordering next time will just go to our favorite AYCE sushi place instead for half the cost and a much better experience. I can't say I can ever recommend this place, the mismanagement and miscommunication is really bad, I am unsure how they are in business unless they are catering to grocery stores only now. I would say 2 stars quality and service, but my personal experience was so bad, it warrants 1 star. Sorry Sony Sushi... I wish you were better than this.
March Update: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Free sushi I guess, I never received the bill for the sushi, but also never received soy sauce. Ended up Ubering a soy sauce bottle, and gave the sushi it away to my friends as by the time it got here I had got some food from said friends. It also arrived to the front desk hours earlier than requested without notifying me. Luckily the front desk held it in a fridge for me, but I kinda wish I let them keep it. When I came by to pick it up, I saw their soul drain from their eyes as I asked about a sushi delivery. Next time I'll tip them sushi 🍣.
Had to throw out the giant 2 lb bags of wasabi and ginger sadly as we had nothing we could do with them as we were visiting for the weekend and since the bags were in an end-consumer fridge, they can't be given back. I have pics of the wasabi and ginger in the fridge, it was quite a lot. Enough for the entire business to operate for at least half a day if not a day.
Thanks for not giving me a bill, treating my friends to free sushi essentially, just wish this catering for the sushi platter worked out better.
Original ⭐ ⭐ Review: I loved Sonny Sushi last year, it was quite a treat having sushi delivered to our hotel room, and I lived the gold packet soy sauce brand they had. Absolutely loved it!
Unfortunately, this time around the fish quality is lower, the soy sauce is a different cheaper brand, and would only got 2 packets of soy sauce for a platter of sushi for 8 people. They gave us a large bag full of wasabi and ginger for some reason which would sustain 100 though.
Overall, I'd say they are worth 4 stars normally, but this time around I gotta lower it to two. They also delivered way earlier than our appointment so I couldn't ensure we got chopsticks or soy sauce nor tip the delivery driver.
If they rectify this by bringing the soy sauce, I would improve this to 3 or 4 stars depending on the quality, but I do miss their service and quality...
