Friday oct, 4th 9 pm we check in. We waited 20 mins, which is ok. We waited ten mins, which is ok busy night. I go for my ID for beer, but forgot it. I made no fuss and ordered a soda. I go to the car to get my sweater because we were under the AC and its cold outside. The waitress tells my wife "and to make sure, dont let him even have a drink unless i see his ID, its illegal". This was the point i felt disrespected and went to the front to ask for a manager. Im 30 and wife is 26, our ages dont matter though i dont have an ID but the insinuation im so desperate im trying steal sips of a fruity cocktail is outrageous, as if i have the edgy excitement of a 14 year old to sneak a sip. Both our drinks went untouched. Again, i go to front to ask for manager. Instead, the server chases us down yelling we drank and didnt pay. We had no issues we paying. We werent even headed for the door. The server came with such aggression, my wife asked if they had cameras to even show she took a drink(since that was why server said we were dining n dashing, when in reality we were getting a manager, and the server said if we hadnt drank it itd be different but she did, according to her). The server boldly states yes they do have cameras and my wife tells them to go check these cameras.
Manager is then there, the server proceeds in front of us to make herself sound like a poor victim. We couldve had a fine meal had she not acted like that about me potentially sneaking a drink like a child. The scene was so bad, the server the loudest, accusing us of something we werent doing. Everyone in the front half of the building were staring and listening. As angry as i was, my wife was simply mortified. The manager then says shes "defending her employees". They dont know me and wife both are restaurant managers. Theres a BIG difference in defending an employee and attacking/accusing a guest for something not happening.
Funniest part? The manager was at the host stand when i initially went there so she KNEW i wasnt walking out the door. They can keep their petty ten dollars we waited over 30 mins to get nothing for. It wasnt about money, or even a discount, or the drink itself. We refused to be accused of something not happening period. And not just from a worker viewpoint, but as a guest in restaurants my entire life ive never heard such random accusatory statement come from a server.
Finally, i truly hope the manager was new. Defending employees is good, but theres a proper balance. When it becomes a tag team attack out of pride when both are in the wrong and challenged on it, then its no longer defending your employees. You are running off guests that pay your employees and keep your business' lights on. On the chance she isnt new, she needs serious evaluation and retraining.
0 stars for the food since we didnt even...
Read moreAdmittedly this is the first bad experience my wife and I have had at this location we really enjoy the food and the staff are usually welcoming and quick with the service. This was are third trip since the COVID-19 and one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve had since everything has changed. First we walked up to enter the building and they have two ladies standing guard making sure you have a mask before you enter the building and make the 10ft trip to your booth. I had to go back to the car to grab a mask for them to even let me in. Once inside we felt completely unwelcome, after the first 5 minutes a lady came over with napkins and plates and told us the waitress would be right with us. Another 10 minutes passed and not one person waited on us or even acknowledged that we were there even though there were about 6 ladies walking back and forth passed us. I could understand if it was busy but it was 3:30 and the building was half empty and on busy nights we have still gotten decent service in the past. We decided to just walk out and not one of the 10 people we passed on the way out said a word to us. We really like roosters but it’s going to be a very long time before we give this location...
Read moreUsually a very good experience, with great wings-they are our favorite. However, yesterday for the Super Bowl, I had placed a phone order (3 days early) for 50 wings with sauce on them, along with two extra bottles of sauce, for pick up at 5:30. Went to pick up the wings and they had no order for me. They tried to tell me that I had screwed up and called a different Roosters....yet their location's phone number was clearly in my call log. The manager tried to make the order right. They made us 50 wings, very quickly, which I'm thankful for-as i had people waiting at my house. But there was no sauce on them and we were given a few tiny cups of sauce on the side. Very disappointed, especially for the price I paid. Don't rely on them if you're...
