My new go to Mexican Restaurant for dinner and really good cocktails. Friendly staff and fresh seafood and cocktails!
Living in Glendale we pass by here frequently, and have noticed the construction going on the past few months. Often wondering when it would open and if it would be any good.
It has now been open for a little over two weeks. This is our 2nd time here in less than a week.
I am rating this restaurant 5 stars because it really has something good going on here in regards to cocktails and menu.
So far this place has the finest and freshest cocktails of any other Mexican restaurant in at least a 50 mile radius... Maybe more. The margaritas are top notch!
Be sure to check out the authentic Cantarito made with all fresh ingredients. Also noteworthy, I tasted the very best mojito I have ever tasted in my life (and many moons ago I owned a bar and grill that specialized in fresh margaritas and mojitos made from scratch).
So definitely come in and try a drink... And don't be afraid to upgrade the tequila in your margaritas. You won't be disappointed.
I haven't tried the fresh oysters on the half shell or the ceviche yet.. but can't wait to try them.
My wife and I shared a Texas dip appetizer and a Parrillada for one as our entree on our first visit. The Texas dip was ridiculously tasty. The shrimp was very succulent and the cheese sauce flavors were phenomenal! The Parrillada was also delicious and featured a premium chorizo that was very lean.
Our 2nd visit was impromptu, and we only stopped to enjoy a quick large margarita and Texas dip (shared and featured in photo).
The dip was as good as it was the first time.
I will note that the service was a bit sluggish on our first visit, but still chose 5 stars due to the friendliness of the staff. I figure a new place is going to have some growing pains, but with food and drinks this good, why complain.
The service was spot on for our 2nd visit and we met a new face behind the bar, but equally friendly.
Going for a seafood entree on...
Read moreSaw a commercial during football almost a year ago and have been wanting to try it out, but it's almost an hour drive from my location, finally I got the opportunity and I was not disappointed. Location was the dead tri county mall so plenty of parking if needed. Had a nice outdoor area which was two floors. Inside was very nice, clean, spacious with a lot of colorful Mexican themed accents. Big tables, pretty large menu, they really go all out on birthdays too. Food was amazing, big portions and great flavor. They have the largest burritos I've ever seen. Service was good, nothing over the top, just did what they needed, but the drinks OMG!. Very large menu of unique drunks with glorious presentations and fresh fruit and even candy. I have to say my pineapple, strawberry, mango etc crushed margarita was the best I've ever had. Pretty strong when it gotta the bottom, so save the fruit slices to bite into. I thought it was a really cool touch to have the small dry ice feature as well. I honestly couldn't have been more happy with our lunch and my expectations based on the commercial were far exceeded. So why only 4 stars. First the prices. I know supply chain issues and inflation has caused food prices to sky rocket, but food was about 20% more than it should be. I can live with that because it was so well prepared and the portions were very large however Even though the drinks were amazing and they use good liquor, they were still nearly 30 bucks each. If you want a little buzz you would need two for sure so lunch would turn into over 200 bucks. Great lunch but not one you could do very often. This reverses mi cazumel for special occasions only. Lastly. We saw nothing in the way of a kids menu. Maybe they didn't give us one idk and finally the street corn was awesome but too much cheese for me. Overall I highly recommend, but also recommend saving some...
Read moreDo not go without earplugs. Don't go at all if you dislike super-loud environments. If you have no choice but to go, just order a drink and/or appetizer then go elsewhere. It's hard to bear for long. The chorizo and cheese dip with nacho chips was delicious, but that was it. Both of our entrees were mediocre at best (dry, overcooked chicken fajitas, soggy and salty seafood chimi.) We each only ate half and didn't bother taking leftovers home despite steep pricing. Why reheat something that wasn't good as served, right? From the "Pull" handwritten in Sharpie marker on the handle of the door leading into the nearly abandoned Tri-County Mall, to wildly flashing multicolored lights around the bar area, it was all cheap, noisy, tacky. The environment inside was nearly unbearable. Seating areas are loud, chaotic, and poorly laid out. For every table celebrating a birthday, a group of male staff came around sing-yelling, and BANGING ON A VERY LOUD DRUM FOR AN INTERMINABLY LONG TIME, again and again and again. It was nearly deafening, and the birthday people didn't all look too excited about being pummeled with jarring, badly played drums, or interested in having tequila shot into their mouths from the collective dispenser. All total, there was a 15-20-minute period where we couldn't hear each other at all, even shouting across the table. We kinda looked at each other and waited for it to end to resume our conversation. It felt like forever. It's like a disco club with overpriced, meh food, surprise charges, a bunch of women hanging out in the bathroom doing their makeup... it is definitely not my scene. Not sure I've ever known in the first 15 minutes that I never wanted to go back to a restaurant, but I know I'll never be back. Truly...
