This is by far the worst Indian food I’ve ever had. If you want to waste your money on Indian food go here. As a South Asian, I have never been this disappointed.
Mango lassi- full of food coloring and the cardamom flavor is so overpowering! You literally cannot even taste any mango. Idk why this lassi was orange bc mango lassi is usually yellow.
Naan- literally pre made Costco naan. Not even fresh or in house made. And they’re charging $3-$4 for one piece?!
Bollywood Platter Appetizers- pakoras are just batter with orange food coloring. The chicken pakora was freezer burn chciken dipped in besan batter. Dumplings were probably the only thing my husband said was edible. Samosa was also below average- literally taste like the frozen ones from the Indian grocery store. So if they is also pre made Costco samosas I wouldn’t be surprised.
Butter chicken- the worst! Again. I don’t understand why you need to use so much orange food coloring. Bland gravy. No salt, the cardamon flavor was so overpowering that it was not edible.
Food was around $37-$40. Over priced horrible “Indian food”. I even requested the gentleman who took my order to make it desi style so if this is desi style then idk what their regular food taste like. I have tried so many Indian restaurants around central pa and this was by far the WORST. If you want good AUTHENTIC Indian food go to Banana Leaf in Mechanicsburg. I really want to support local businesses near me but if my money is getting wasted like this I will not support them. Never...
Read moreNot too long ago, there were no options for Indian or Nepali food in York.
Hamirs Indian Fusion in the city was first and is great, but not traditional. Now York has several great options.
Bollywood Grill is the latest on the scene and brings a huge menu on top of the Indian and Nepali items.
Samosa Choe Chaat had great flavor in all of the layers. Got the medium heat and it ws perfect. It is slightly onion forward, so you have to like onions.
The momos were traditional dumplings with good flavor, but the sauce that comes with it makes them great. It's a spicy tomato and spice mix. You will want extra sauce.
The chicken curry had a good and familiar flavor. The chicken was incredibly tender and could be cut with a fork. We got it medium spicy, but could have handled hot. They will give you a side of hot sauce if needed.
The Chicken Thukpa was unique with the chicken being slightly crunchy and delicious. The broth was light and warming with a good balance of flavor.
There are places with a warmer atmosphere as the lighting is bright and kind of a diner feel. However, the food is right there if not better than any place in ...
Read moreI ordered take-out from here for dinner and it was so good! I got the Chicken Tikka Masala, Chow mein and Garlic Naan, which was $38 including a $3 tip. The wait time I had on a Saturday at dinner was only 20 minutes. They have spice options for the first two items, and I got hot for the Tikka, which was pretty spicy but that's exactly what I wanted. It came with a side of Basmati Rice, I didn't see that it would come with on the menu, but it was the perfect balance for the spicy Tikka. I got medium spice for the Chow mein, it was surprisingly a lot spicier than I thought medium would be. I like spice so it was good, but if you don't like a lot of spice I would suggest just doing the non-spicy option. The Garlic Naan was sooo good. Usually the Naan at other places are a bit crispier, but I liked how soft the Naan here is. I will be coming back here to try the lunch Buffett! The inside was nicely decorated at the entrance. I'll do another review...
