Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Springfield Township

Unfortunately we will not be able to patronize this business until they make some changes to the way they are treating the community where they do business. This location is currently using a residential street, Reynard Avenue, as an overflow drive thru line. Dutch Bros is the ONLY business on this stretch of Winton road to use a public street as an extension of their drive thru. This is unacceptable and dangerous. Firstly, the traffic during peak hours causes difficulties for the residents of the neighborhood behind Dutch Bros when they need to enter and leave the neighborhood. More importantly the traffic would cause a delay for any emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire trucks trying to access the neighborhood. The traffic is also making it difficult for people to patronize the small, locally owned garden center who is their next door neighbor.

Dutch bros, take a page out of Dunkin’s book and wrap your drive thru line around your building. The community should not have to pay for your poor planning when this location was selected.

It was brand new to the area, only open for a week or so. Signed up for the app and rewards program and that got me a free drink. Tried the Golden Eagle Protein coffee. It was pretty good. I don't typically go for anything beyond a cup of black coffee, so this was a little outside of my wheelhouse. The drink was tasty enough, but I wish it were a LITTLE hotter. I appreciate that I could drink right away without risking getting burned, but by the time I got to the bottom it was nearing room temperature. First world problems, right? It is only take out, walk up or drive-thru, and they were doing the best they could to keep the line moving, but I'm sure the local neighborhood will be thankful when the "new coffee shop shine" has worm off some. I went on a Saturday morning when I didn't need to be anywhere right away, but I have seen some LONG lines and a lot of backed up roads. These long lines will likely be what keeps me from ever becoming a regular. That, and I just don't have $6-10 to spend all the time just for a hot/cold drink. What I had...

5 stars for the staff! They are great! The only reason I’m giving 3 stars is because the line moves so slowly! No matter what time of day, I sit for 20 minutes to get through it. I’m not sure if they need another machine to make more drinks and move people through faster or what because the staff outside taking orders is fast and efficient. It’s the window that takes forever to get through in the drive through. I think they probably don’t have enough machines inside and staff to double the drinks they can make at once. Other than that, the SF golden eagle is amazing and I love their big menu!

Edit to add: I tried this place again, hoping drive-thru service would be quicker. It was worse. Waited almost 35-40 minutes for an iced coffee. I won’t be back until they fix the wait time. Not worth it and I was late for my work conference call...
