Tucked behind the Brentwood Spirits and Wine store is probably the best hidden gem in Finneytown, the Lucky Turtle. The Lucky Turtle has a very good selection of bourbon and whiskies. They also have rotating beers on their tap menu, often providing a large variety of different styles (except for Arrogant Bastard - that's always got the #13 spot on the taps). They focus on the bourbon and beer; they do have other drinks and their mixed drink menu isn't bad, but it could stand to be increased. You can get smaller pours on beers if you don't like having full pours and do growler fills when you want beer to take home. Their website/menu is updated regularly, so you'll know what they have before you get there.
They allow food to be brought in and have several neighboring restaurants that have diverse offerings (some that deliver). They've also recently added Empanadas Aqui to their menu, though I've not had a chance to try it yet (not sure if it's made there or if it's when their food truck is there).
They have a pair of multi-game arcade cabinets along with a lot of board games there. Read moreNice place. I'm always looking for an out of the way friendly little neighborhood hole in the wall bar as a place to kill an hour or so while the boys are having practice and The Lucky Turtle was literally right around the corner! It's easy to miss as you're driving down Winton Rd, see keep an eye out and be ready to drive around behind the other businesses there. First time visitor that had great service. Helpful bartender that was willing to help find comparable bourbons etc. Wide selection of draft beers & what looked like easily a couple dozen or more bourbons. Decent pours and fair prices per pour.. They have a small outdoor area outback as well. Looking forward to stopping in again. See...
