So, I like Dairy Queen, even if it is very pricy, and I liked to come to the restaurant every once and a while for a treat.
However, I harshly suggest not visiting this location, mainly due to the situation I just experienced.
So, first off, the workers were fairly unprofessional in their greetings to me over the intercom. I honestly didn't mind this too much, as I get what it was like to work at a job like this.
Besides that, as I pulled up with my basic order of a single blizzard, I paid, and then waited a bit longer. The lady who had my blizzard comes to the window, and, due to either the fault of the lady who handed it to her or herself, spills the blizzard on the countertop. I figured I would just get a second one for free, but instead, she catches it, and pushes it back in with her fingers, hands it to me, and them slams the window shut before I can say anything.
So, I come back into the store, and ask for another one. They ask me, rather rudely, what was wrong with it, and I told them "Well, you dropped it and-"
These were really the last words I got out before she interrupted me, just saying Ok over and over again. She took the blizzard from me and angrily threw it in the trash can, before making another.
The other employee, the same one who had made it for the one who gave it and took it from me before, then came back with a new one, shaking it several times aggressively, saying something like, "Is this good enough for you?" Very passive aggressively.
Again, I have no faults with the restaurant, but whoever is in charge of the employees there is either one of those two or someone who isn't doing...
Read moreSo we go get 2 medium twist cones Sunday evening only to be met with ignorance. We were not told at the speaker they were out of chocolate ice cream…..had we been told that fine, no problem. We then get to the window and it takes awhile but finally the lady hands us one chocolate dipped cone. My boyfriend says, ummm we ordered two twist cones not chocolate dipped. The lady takes the one cone back inside and with her back turned to us says to the next lady that comes up with another chocolate dipped cone something (who knows as the window is shut), she then rolls her eyes and grabbed the other cone and hands them both out to us. My boyfriend says once again, we ordered twist cones. She says we don’t have chocolate ice cream and hands them to us and shuts the window. A more appropriate response to this whole situation SHOULD have been to let your customers know at the speaker what you don’t have when they order. If you missed that opportunity, then you ask the customer at the window if they would be open to a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate or offer their money back since you already collected it. Also the young lady who collected the money struggled to count the bills and change (which is even more sad). Dairy Queen you need to re-teach your employees proper customer...
Read moreI'd rather drive to the one in Joelton. When the Springfield DQ opened I was super excited and was one of the first to try it out. The burgers were top notch and had a smokey "outdoor-grilled" flavor. They have very quickly gone down hill though. Like the last reviewer, my main complaint is that they havent gotten my order right in FIVE times now. The first two incidents I ordered sweet tea and both times got hot unsweet tea. After that came food issues. I ordered a number one and got a plain burger instead with no bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, nothing, nada, zilch. Next time I ordered a one and made it clear I wanted my freaking bacon. Got a burger with just bacon and nothing else. The next time, same order, received a bacon-less burger with toppings sloshed onto one side of the burger/loose in the wrapper. I also tried their butterfinger blizzard once and the candy was so finely grated it was basicly vanilla ice cream. Hate to say it but I ain't going back. 5 chances is enough. Also the burgers themselves don't taste great like they did...
