Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Springfield

I visited this location for the first time yesterday. The food was fantastic. However, the amount of time I was there was ridiculous. I was the only person in the drive thru and there looked to be 1 person inside. I waited at the speaker for 5 minutes before getting a response. I waited even longer at the window while my food was already made just sitting there until she finally had me pay and gave it to me. I am not certain but I think she was the only employee working. Nonetheless, it took way way too long with me being the only person there.

I went again today because, as I said, the food was delicious. I had the breakfast cali flatbread. The portion was great, it was made perfectly. So I ordered it again today. Today when I went ( a different employee) she acted as if working was the last place she wanted to be. She was so unfriendly. I could tell at the drive thru speaker before I even came to the window. Service was quicker. But I'm not the least bit surprised when I got to where I was going and took a bite of my food. It was missing half of the ingredients! I paid over $6 for a flat bread with hardly any egg and some chicken. I was, again, the only one there! Absolutely no excuse as to why it was messed up. The employee was already rude and then my food was half made.

I have been frequent customer since January just about every time something has been missing, broken or the flavor is off on my order. I took survey once about my experience and the owner contacted me with promises of free items . Which I didn’t take take the survey for that, I wanted to see improvement. Tonight I visited and I’m Assuming the blonde haired female must be the manger. I ordered door dash the night before and once again my flatbreat was missing ingredients. So I took my receipt back and explained to her the issue. the mangers response” well I don’t have any proof but I guess I can remake it” I didn’t know I needed it and I feel offended because I have been coming 3 to 4 times a week faithfully. what reason would I have to lie. Now I come on her to leave review and see that other customers have being experiencing the same issues. I will not be visiting tropical smoothie anytime soon again. We have only ordered Uber Eats from this location but have done so 8-10 times in the past 6 months. Food is predictably good and consistent. I usually order the Jerk Chicken wrap with extra chicken and no lettuce while my wife typically gets the breakfast wrap/burrito and a Smoothie. They also have a side of Jalapeno corn that I really like, and the option to get baked chips instead of deep fried.

My only beef with Tropical Smoothie is I always ask that my wrap not be cut in half but they almost always cut it down the middle anyway. I don't like this because it makes the wrap much messier and fall apart more easily. Is it so difficult to pay attention to this detail and get it right so my wrap doesn't fall all over everything?
