Fairgrounds Cafe — Restaurant in Springfield

This place starred out as a nice little place for morning breakfast ..well lets just say as most restraunts located in spfld they all be veer from excellence to hey my order isnt right ..but this am was not our greatest experience but not the first time weve experienced bad service ..first off if you take an order from a customer and you ask for specific ways to cook your food then when that food hits the window it shouldnt come to the table incorrect ..now as ive said this isnt the first time and if the waitress who took your order isnt the one who brings your order back to the table well thats still your fault ..now i cant remember the name of waitress but was told she is owners sister or relative ..then when we tell you the cantalope is hard as a rock and shouldnt have been served and you shrug your shoulders and then ask if you could get my wife something else ..nope thats not at all hoe you should react ...but hey if im paying 30 bucks too eat at your esyablishment then i expect to get whst im paying for ..so also the bacon wasnt crispy and if you had been the one to bring the order to the table you may have caught on to that ...ive been here many of time and its always me saying lets try it again ..so my recomendatiin is act as if you just opened and never get complacent....do great all day everyday if not for customers you wouldnt succeed...have...

Delightful experience. The food was good and the service was awesome!The picture is of the restaurant's owner, Buka. This is her first restaurant, and she's doing a great job. I recommend stopping in for a bite and saying "hi!". Help support local businesses, like Buka's!

Our latest time there was as good (or better) than the last. You are missing something if you don't go! Oh, did I mention that many days, if they can (not every day sometimes, due to heavy business and not being able to stop right on time) they play the Star Spangled Banner at noon?!! If you are there at noon let them know you heard about it and you are looking forward to hearing it! I bet they would make an effort to make sure to do it if they knew you wanted to hear it. I think sometimes we don't encourage people enough to show their pride in living in the greatest country on earth! Let them know you appreciate their patriotism!...

First time eating here & very happy with the experience. Reason for the 4 star review was that both our orders were messed up. They forgot half of my order (which they fixed immediately & apologized) & my husband got hashbrowns instead of home fries (he didn't care & happily ate what was served). The food was amazing. My Banana fosters crepes were perfect. The bananas were cooked to perfection & had just enough sauce that the crepes saoked up the flavor, but not so much the they dissolve in goo... Absolutely amazing. My husband's omelet was huge & delicious. His pancakes were fluffy, sweetened perfectly & so good he didn't even use butter or syrup (I know, he's weird). The menu has so many delicious options we are going back to try more. Our waitress was very nice & polite. Over all we had a wonderful experience and definitely recommend to anyone to try them...
