The Stadium Smokehouse Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Illinois

The food was okay - save for the fried pickles, which were so salty that they were inedible. My BIG complaint here was the service. We were the only family in the back part of the restaurant, definitely not busy by anyone's definition. It was 11:30am on a Saturday.

The waitress acted wildly inconvenienced by our presence from the very start. Not once did she check on us, for refills or otherwise. We had a party of five, and one of our guests got her food 10 minutes after everyone else... With no remark made by our server that her food would be coming out late. The server literally just disappeared after dropping the food.

Kitchen staff was loudly cursing as well - I do NOT recommend taking your kids here.

As a family that has lived on the North end for six generations, I so very much wanted to support this local business but the service was bad enough that I cannot recommend anyone...

Great food! Great service! The waitress is probably one of the best waitresses I've experienced in such a long time! She's funny and friendly and even though she was getting pretty busy and doing it all by yourself we waited less than we usually do when there's lots of waitresses and hardly any business! My son was home visiting with his wife from the Army so we wanted to take them and his best friend because the food is so good and we all really enjoyed it and honestly it cost about the same as if we went to a fast food restaurant these days and we got more food and we are all miserably stuffed but so happy! Keep up the great work! Can't wait to get a chance to go back again! FYI the Cajun boneless wings with teriyaki sauce are...

Cheers to this new owner he has been working hard at cleaning and remodeling. The the new decor and now it's more than a bottle beer bar this owner and manager are stepping it up a notch and actually have wine🍷 in stock and a new Martini menu 🍸 just because we are Northerners doesn't mean we dont have class and good tast in alcohol. The Food is awesome fresh made beef burgers 🍔 ( especially the bourbon burger) and fresh cut fries the fresh smoked chicken wings and specials are so good. I could go on and on but just come in and try it for yourself. This tavern is old home been coming here for over 40 years through the different owners and my husband and i used to live in the back upstairs apartment back...
