Update: MSG in everything, so if you have sensitivity, go somewhere else.
Be on your toes with this place because they are savvy business owners (won't include condiments like mustard or soy sauce without asking, and if you do ask be specific about how many you want or they will just put one or maybe 2 in the bag. Even when I asked for 6 mustard, they only put in 4. They also won't mention how to save money on their menu. I.e. I got a large general chicken ala cart and my mom wanted an egg roll, which cost $1.70. They didn't mention that I could upgrade my ala cart to a combo that included a drink, egg roll, and crab Rangoon for only $2. So I had to figure that out on my own. They definitely have a keen eye on their bottom line. On the one hand, respect to them. On the other, kinda annoying as a customer bc it feels like they don't have my best interest in mind. That's capitalism for you though.) That being said, the food is awesome. I get the general chicken every time bc it is so good I can't order anything else. The sauce is perfectly balanced. The rice is cooked to perfection. And they include a good amount of steamed veggies to offset the fried chicken and sauce ( perfect amount of sauce), which can be heavy without some veggies. The general chicken sauce is not sweet like a lot of places. So much umami, so well prepared. So consistently good, and the portions are good. It's the same every time, which is nice to know what to expect!...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered a large Sweet and Sour as a Combo. I went through the drive thru so I can't comment on the inside. As for the people taking my order and at the window, they were incredibly friendly and polite. The food was fantastic as well. Sweet and Sour sauce was on par and included carrots and pineapple in the sauce. The chicken was tasty as well. The portion definitely made me full. But what I loved the most was the rice! It has the eggs and carrots in it. What made me love it? IMO most fried rice is very greasy and salty. The rice was like normal cooked white rice but has the egg and carrots. Fan-tas-tic! This was my first time there and had an fantastic time. Totally will come back and maybe just order rice bc it was so good. Also! Open on SUNDAYS!!! Will eat again and try something...

Walking in, it was odd that the floor plan was the same as Hong Kong Inn. The menus were also really similar, it made me think maybe theyāre related restaurants. I try not to keep the reviews an objective score, not a direct comparison to each other, but that was really hard for this one. Rice was near identical to Hong Kong Inn, minus the chunks of onion. Dine in offered āfreeā soup, which Iām a sucker for. Breading was nice and soft but still had crunch and chicken was moist. They have white and dark meat but no combination. Sauce was ever so slightly oyster sauce heavy, but still delicious. No wantons, and the egg roll tasted like the fry oil. Overall, itās just your average cashew chicken, as reflected by the almost 3...
