I began shopping at The Quilted Cow – Springfield a few months ago. Since then, I have taken their beginning quilting class with Anne. She is an incredibly patient and encouraging instructor. They have a wonderful classroom equipped with Baby Lock sewing machines for the students to use. I am confident that I will be taking additional classes in the future. Also, the store offers a wide variety of beautiful fabrics and items to enhance your quilting experience. In addition, I watch Facebook Live each week and have purchased some wonderful items. There is a great lounge for individuals that may not want to shop with the quilt-enthusiast members of their family. Finally, the staff is amazing! I "accidently" found The Quilted Cow on Facebook. I found a live and was immediately hooked. However, I didnt realize there was one in Springfield. I have found a new spark for sewing!! I just finished a 4 week beginner quilting class with Carol and it was one of the BEST things I've ever done. I'm not new to sewing but I learned new things, got to sew on a machine that I've never gotten to experience and made two new friends!! I will be signing up for more classes with this group of talented people and I now have to start a savings account for my "new" habit! I've reviewed a lot of quilt shops over the years and this one is from two different perspectives. One is my perspective and it starts with do they have a nice place to sit while my wife shops. They have a great place to sit and even have a TV that they have on for the husbands or non-shoppers. The lady who owns the place is really friendly and that helps when you are just sitting around. The second is my wife's perspectives, which is the important one. She said she really liked it, friendly and helpful staff and a good selection of fabric.
