Knowledgeable and friendly. However, somewhat aggressive in their sales approach. I came in with a specific budget ($250) and verbally stated I didn't want to exceed this but they kept pushing how the $500 electronic option would be better. I acknowledged that that was likely very true but outside of my price range. I had to indicate that I couldn't afford that option several times but was told I would be back in to get it at some point because I would outgrow the option I had selected. I am a novice sewer and just wanted to start with something smaller until I knew whether or not I would enjoy it.
I ultimately selected the lower level machine and was upsold on a carrying case and other items (bobbins, thread, etc). The items certainly made sense, but put me charging $324, well over my $250 budget. I did decide to return the items, feeling overwhelmed by the money spend and decision making.
I ultimately went with a $218 Brother machine elsewhere that I really enjoy, but upon telling them what machine I was going to get, they made it seem like it was trash and "disposable" and tried to get me to keep the machine with them (offering free bags, "let me see what I can do," etc). This made my first purchase stressful and somewhat took the fun out of it.
I can tell they are knowledgeable, and they are likely right. You do get what you pay for and I'm sure the $500 machine would have been great. However, I feel like they were more focused on making a sale and not fully listening to what I was wanting and what level I was at with my sewing ability and budget.
Overall, I would go back in, as their products seem really nice and high quality just be aware to have your guard up for aggressive sales tactics that are somewhat similar to buying a used car. A more relaxed approach would have made me feel more comfortable and less nervous about coming back in for small supplies...
Read moreI have a sewing machine that had been serviced for years somewhere else and I repeatedly told them it made a knocking noise when it got warm. They kept telling me it was fine and wasn’t making the noise. I even offered to record the noise to send to them and they refused.
I called B Sew Inn and spoke with Todd. I told him my situation and he listened to everything I had to say. He let me send him the video of the noise and offered multiple solutions to bring my machine in to get the problem solved. They worked with me from the very beginning. He took the time to look at my machine and even called to keep me updated on when it might be done. HE FIXED MY MACHINE!!! Also, he spent the time to explain what it was and never once made me feel like I was taking up his day with my problems.
So thank you Todd and B Sew Inn for restoring my faith in good hearted people. You now have a new faithful customer and I will be sending more...
Read moreThe staff is knowledgeable and works on finding a machine that is fit for your needs. They don't pressure you to buy something that is not in your needs. They take the time to show you the abilities of the machines to see if it's your fit. Also when you make a machine purchase they show you all the avenues of getting classes and support in learning your machine. I have never had the courtesy of the employees in buying a from a sewing machine store than I did here. I bought an expensive Pfaff years ago and got nothing as far as help from the store, big mistake on my part in purchasing. They make you feel appreciated at B-Sew Inn. Thank you ladies....can't wait to see the new...
