On 1/17 at 6:30, through the drive-through window, I ordered two 16 inch sandwiches. The employee stated that he did not have enough bread for two 16 inch sandwiches. I understood that to mean that he did not have enough 16 inch long loaves, so I asked if he could do one 16 inch sandwich and two additional 8 inch sandwiches. I clarified I need the equivalent of two giant 16 subs. He said ok, and that it would be less expensive that way. (so I understood this to mean that we were on the same page) I got to the window, paid, and noticed only two 8 inch sandwiches in my bag. ( I was also only charged for 2 sandwiches.) I waited at the window, watched the employees talking to each other, but no one ever came back to the window, so I pulled around again through the drive thru. I stated that I must have not been clear because I needed 4 sandwiches, and tried to order 2 more. The employee stated that he couldn't fulfill the order because it would use too much bread. (Don't they bake their bread on site? I thought that's a big part of Jimmy John's business model). He went on to say that he would not be able to keep the store open till closing if he sold me two more sandwiches. It was 6:30 PM, and they are open until 9 PM. I asked sort of jokingly, if he was saving bread to sell to customers that weren't there yet, and he basically said, yes, I can't stay open if I sell you such a large amount of sandwiches. He said that for people who come through and order a "normal" amount of sandwiches he has to have enough for them. Wow. I'm not sure how 4 sandwiches is considered excessive, especially when it's to feed 4 people. To make this even better, another employee sitting in the back, leaned forward and said "there's another store, not that far from here, ya know". Yes, I know. But suggesting that I go to two different locations because I ordered an "excessive" amount of sandwiches (four) seems absurd. I told him that I wanted my money back. I handed the sandwiches back through the window and he said he can't take them back, which is not my problem. I obviously will not take some thing that I didn't pay for, and I refuse to give them a penny of my money now. I asked for a receipt to show it was voided, and he told me he would do it at the end of the night. Lol, really? I told him I would wait while he voids it immediately and gives me a receipt. I'm very curious to know if the owner of this location has a policy of limiting sales at a certain time of the night, for the "possibility" of later sales. Firehouse Subs tasted soooo good after this. To clarify- this was at the S Campbell location. At the other Jimmy John's locations, I have never had anything but superb service.
Edit-- I received a very nice call from David at Jimmy John's tonight. He addressed the issue and was very pleasant and apologetic. I know the Jimmy John's company is great and hopefully this was a one time thing! I appreciate him...
Read moreI came in wanting a sandwich with no tomatoes because I’m deathly allergic, got a number 4 and they needed up putting tomoatoes on it (it’s fine everyone makes mistakes) I come back through the drive through requesting a new one due to the allergy and Isabelle refused to make me a new sandwich or give me a refund and then proceeded to call the cops on me. She slammed the drive through door on me and then when I pulled around to come in to get a refund she locked the doors on me. The cops came and got me my refund as well as a new sandwich. The cops as well as the other coworkers were baffled how she treated me and how the situation went down. Definitely would recommend go to any other location instead of this one. Isabelle was completely unprofessional and made this one of the worst experiences ever,...
Read moreThis place was a true disapointment. As soon as I went up to the cash register to order the two men that were their standing walked away. While they fought over who was finally going to have to come and take my order I decided to make this as painless as possible for them not ordering what I usually do. Just so I could get out quickly. Turns out they still messed up my order and I have to BEG to get my side order. While on the other side of the restaurant entered a homeless looking man (that was apparently their friend) and the staff hurried to give him food WITHOUT HIM PAYING and stayed in that corner with him the entire time. I was confused and honestly not happy never going their again this was totally uncalled for. Come one Jimmy Johns you can do...
