This is going to be a long, genuine, and thorough review based on hundreds of experiences here. I have been buying my breakfast burrito, coffee, and scone every single Monday through Friday for over 9 months. It has been my favorite brunch stop. It’s a beautiful area, polite staff, and the food and coffee are great! Everyday I spend 20 bucks at this shop between product and tips. That is 400 bucks a month not counting the occasional weekend day. I run up in a hurry on my 30 minute lunch break. In the beginning I utilized their mobile ahead service and everything was always perfect! Then the mobile ahead wasn’t working for days in a row each week. I asked why and I’m told “they shut if off on the weekend and forget to turn it back on.” So, on days it was turned off, I would call ahead to have them start the burrito so I wouldn't be late back to work from lunch. It has gotten to where this past 6-8 weeks, mobile ahead is not turned on at all. Not one day has it worked.
Their pastry items are always running out. I asked one day since I come in every single day at the same time, and get the same 3 items, if they would save me a scone back, and I’m told “no we can’t do that.” Which is fine, but after the mobile ahead problems and the fact that I am a regular paying customer that single-handedly pays the light bill, I figured maybe I could get a “we really appreciate your loyalty and business, but due to whatever policy, we aren’t allowed to.” or some like manner, if there is a true legit reason. Irritating, but not a deal breaker still:
Then today, I called ahead to have the burrito started, (because mobile ahead is still down) and I’m told “we don’t take orders over the phone usually, but we will this time.” Mind you, this is after many months of there being no problem with this in the past. That’s the deal breaker. I cannot be late back from my 30 minute lunch break and there is 10 minutes there and 10 minutes back. It takes almost and sometimes more than 10 minutes when the burrito isn’t started until I arrive there, wait in line, and order it.
If these things are management issues, then maybe someone can call me and tell me they understand my frustration. I think it is due to the fact that they are short-staffed and can’t keep up with the many customers and mobile ahead orders. A barista there that I know quit to go to work at Bambino’s for more pay. It was off-putting to see the lack of logic with the scone request as well. Do you want to sell it to someone passing by and trying out your shop, that you will never see again? Or, make your highest paying customers happy? Either way, it’s sold. LOL And it is not like if I didn’t show up for ir, you can’t turn right around and sell it to the next guy.
Hopefully my review will help your business out. If you are going to offer services like mobile ahead, have it turned on and working. Or don’t offer it. Pretty simple. Hire enough staff to handle that location that is rapidly gaining popularity for the trails and beautiful area. And most importantly, train your staff to appreciate regular and loyal customers with a bit more care than a customer they’ve seen once: I love supporting Christian companies and small businesses, but I will not be returning until mobile ahead orders are working; or I can call my order in on the phone (like I always have until told today that it’s not an option) , or staff is consistent in telling me how I can order. You have great potential there so I owe you take...
Read moreDon't waste your time or money at this establishment. My daughter and I were out for a run with our dog and we needed to get him a cup of water. It was very hot outside and he was panting heavily. We went inside on a Sunday at 5:00 pm. The barista was working alone and informed us that it would be a LONG time before she could get a water for us. As I looked around at all the empty tables, I couldn't wrap my head around why it would take so long to get a drink. There were a total of 3 patrons who already had drinks and no one was waiting at counter for anything. We proceeded to wait 15 minutes for the water while the barista tried to look busy fumbling containers and stocking fridge. I then asked again for the water. By this time, our dog had collapsed under a shade tree from exhaustion. She reiterated that it would be at least 10 more minutes. For WATER. If you're in the mood for games or Jedi mind tricks, by all means, visit this establishment. If you want to enjoy a beverage in a timely manner, go to ARCHITECT coffee or another local establishment. Hell, you could even come out ahead on a bad day at Starbucks. Shame on you, KINGDOM COFFEE!!! If there's any type of religious connotation here with their business name, the only kindgom they'll be enjoying in the...
Read moreWent there for the first time today to grab something for myself and my husband. I was very excited based on the reviews but was a little disappointed. If you're in line behind someone else, unless you know exactly what you want good luck looking at their menu. It's printed off on a piece of paper and placed under glass on the counter, which makes it difficult to decide what you want until you're literally up at the register to order. When I got my 2 coffees and 2 muffins I was very disappointed in both the flavor and the temperature of the coffee. My coffee was a little on the bland side and barely room temperature, my husband's tasted better but was also lukewarm at best. Although, on the plus side their espresso was very smooth, no bitterness or burnt flavor as other coffee shops espressos are. The muffins while tasted good were very very dense, and not cooked in placed. I would give this place another chance, but next time would try dining in, and try other food items...
