Initially tried Amazin Asian at the brick and mortar location three months ago and fell in love with the noodle dishes and dumplings. We were the only ones dining at the time and the food was fresh and went beyond our expectations - we could see the owners passion behind his trade and left happy customers. My husband continued to order dishes to be delivered to his work as they would deliver there (our house is a bit too far) and I have heard very little complaint from him regarding what he's received, however, when I ordered today to have dinner sent to him I was less than pleased to hear that the what I ordered for him was not what he received, especially after the woman I ordered from used a condescending tone when she called me telling me my card was declined and then admitted that she wrote the number down wrong when I repeated it for her - (which doesn't sound like a very secure method for taking payments). She verified that it was one order of fried dumplings and kung pow chicken during our initial call, and so I felt there was no reason to believe he would receive anything other than that. After getting his order he let me know that it was wrong and that when he called to let them know it wasn't the right thing they refused to exchange it for the correct item. This place has potential, when the food is correct - it's well worth frequenting, but there's nothing special that warrants being told repeatedly that you're in the wrong over one simple order. The customer service is lacking and though it makes little difference, I will order from one of the dozens of other chinese restaurants in the...
Read moreMy wife and I were wanting to get some cashew chicken as we revisited Springfield after years away from there. Saw the really good reviews and we were excited to try it out (I had asked chatgpt for slightly upscale cahew chicken restaurant and this was listed in top 3). We arrived and walked in - the sign said seat yourself which was kind of ok but then we looked around: no one else was eating there (at dinner time), several tables still had dirty dishes and mess on them from whomever ate there before, there was stacked junked in the open at the back hallway, and no one was came out to see us. We got up and left right away as we got a very bad impression of the lack of cleanliness and service within the first minute. I did not rate the food in all fairness as we didn't even try it. But the impression of the place turned us off immediately from even going that far. We were disappointed - and it was our wedding anniversary and chose to eat there above other places. We went to Leong's Asian Diner and had totally the opposite experience and made up for it. So this is just a heads up if you plan to go this place. I really do hope they can...
Read moreDO NOT RECOMMEND, TRY SOMEWHERE ELSE. (I also called to give them the benefit of the doubt on what I'm explaining below and was responded to with no customer service just wanting to be argumentative with me) They don't value their customers.
I ordered bún bò xào xả $9.85 lemongrass beef on vermicelli with shredded lettuce, sliced carrots, sliced cucumber, mint and bean sprouts
I tasted zero lemongrass at all (owner said their sauce must not be strong enough for me?) The beef? was gooey and chewy, no tenderness to it at all, almost like it was over coated in corn starch or something, it was all very over sauced for a Vietnamese lemongrass beef dish. Gross, took a couple bites and then tossed it.
I ordered Satay $7.35 Skewed grilled chicken served with peanut sauce
These were not marinated, the owner disagrees with me on this as well. I've worked in the restaurant industry for years and have never seen satays like this. Just bland, dry white meat chicken on a skewer.
Overall this was my first visit, I gave them a chance to make it right and now I'll never return and here's the review for...
