I wanted to gate keep this place SO bad but I’m going to put you on… Cellar + Plate is not JUST a communal wine house, they have some of the most incredible food. Shareables, fondue, full plates, and delectable desserts - all chef crafted. Not to mention, I decided on four things - and you won’t believe how much food came. Like I’m full, happy, and could eat this anytime. I started off with the most incredible wine. As most of you know, I am NOT a wine drinker. This surprised me SO much. I absolutely loved and could drink this. I feel like I must be growing up because it’s not a cute little moscato, and I fell in LOVE. Shoutout to our incredible waiter, Tao, who gave the perfect recommendation. So first, we kicked things off with the Seafood Ravioli. Lobster and shrimp stuffed inside these cute little raviolis, and then this pistachio cream sauce that honestly… I could’ve just drank it. The pistachio crunch on top? I was wowed. Then we moved on to the Cellar Board. And listen… this is my personality now. Meats, cheeses, spiced nuts, jam, grapes, and this tiny martini glass of house-pickled veggies that made me feel like I was back in Europe living my best lunch fantasy. It’s perfect. I’m obsessed. I’m already booking a reservation to have it again. Next up, the Smoky Mushroom Mozz Pinsa. It surprised me. Huge mushrooms, so much cheese, garlic… and then the hot pepper bacon jam? It was bold. It was different. I loved every single bite. Those mushrooms were everything. And then… the Autumn Gruyere Fondue. This is non-negotiable. You come here, you get the fondue. Melty, cozy, hot cheese with sausage, potatoes, croutons, apples… we added steak tips and Brussels because we HAD to go all out here. Have you been? Would you go? Listen. It was SO good that we didn’t even get a chance to take pictures of the food. Every single bite was divine. We ordered the charcuterie board thingy, the scallops, and the butternut squash ravioli. All of it was perfect. The food came out very quickly, the whole environment is so amazing, and Kristin our server was amazing! She had great suggestions, was super nice, and made the experience even better. Side note, we got a picture of the desert we just ordered. The in-house pear and blueberry sauces on the cheesecake and the charcuterie board are so amazing!

We had the best spontaneous drop in experience at Cellar + Plate! Michael helped us and gave us the best recommendations and service that I have had in years. They were booked up but accommodated our party of 3 in between reservations. The valentines menu was so fun and well thought out. The food and recommended wine could not have been better. Customer service is not dead!!! Thank you Michael and Cellar + Plate for helping make my mother’s birthday celebration a smashing success.

I'm winding down the clock on my dining out days. I find I require far less food than I used too. I no longer drink, and that alone curbs appetite. I no longer feel the need to socialize, or be seen. Given that information, this was a rare outing and, an unexpectedly memorable one. I NEVER give five star reviews across the board, but Cellar & Plate genuinely earned this one. The menu is an eye candy feast of eclectic options and pairings. The wine list is unrivaled and the non-alcohol selection, while abbreviated, is very well considered. Thanks and kudos to Cellar & Plate for that alone! My wife and I shared two dishes comprised of Asian salmon and risotto, and steak tips and risotto. Additionally we shared an appetizer of ceviche, avocado, and chips. All of the food was meticulously prepared and the presentation was outstanding. My wife had a glass of NA Sauvignon Blanc, and I enjoyed an NA beer. Both were very good and fresh, and it was a pleasure to have these options available. The restaurant featured live entertainment in the form of a delightful and talented crooner named Gary Turner. Mr Turner sang numerous light standards at a perfect volume and he was engaging and extremely professional. But the service, oh the service!! Our waitress, Ellie, was outstanding! Ellie was intelligent, beautiful, poised, and expertly landed the often difficult and delicate balance-ratio of attentiveness and intimacy to allowing us the uninterrupted time required to savor the meal. As perfect as the ambience, food, and entertainment were, Ellie is the real reason we will return. Great job...

Honestly Cellar & Plate is a lil hidden vibey gem! The atmosphere is a whole good mood and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful! Something others need to understand is that this is a small business, and everyone works very hard to do their best at serving and providing a safe place for you to enjoy yourself. While the kitchen may be small and all food may not come out at the same time depending on what is ordered and volume of business, the owner and staff will happily accommodate any awkward "in-between" times if you run into any issues on busier nights, all you need to do is accept the offer or speak up about concerns & they are more than happy to set your time & money spent straight! They want you to feel accomodated & happy! A lil communication goes a long way, and a lil bit more wine or bread while you wait might make all the difference. The shareables are all delicious and very reasonably priced, I always recommend getting the seller board or the burrata...the sliders are also yummy! There's a great selection of cocktails, the most wine variety you can find in Springfield, and they also have non alcoholic beverages, AND beer on tap! Literally what's not to love!? If you haven't given this place a chance because you didn't know it existed, or you read poor reviews, this is your sign to throw that lil caution to the wind and try this swanky lil wine tapas, you'll be...

Really bummed out with our last two visits. We used to love this place over the years but tonight made us realized it’s just not the same anymore. We made reservations so we were quickly seated but it took about 10-15m before a server finally came to ask our order but we didn’t even have menus or water. Unfortunately, that was the way it went all night. Our server was sweet but kept blaming the kitchen and the excessive crowd for the delays but it truly wasn’t a particularly busy night by any means. We ordered apps as Roasted Brussel Sprouts and the Baked Brie and two sliders. It took about 40 minutes for the brussel sprouts to arrive but they were room temp as if they had been sitting out waiting and then the two sliders arrived 15 minutes later in the same condition. Both felt like warmed up leftovers. We finally asked about the Brie and was told it would be ready soon and our server should have told us it takes the longest to make. It did arrive just as we asked to check on it and came out with nuts (we had noted no nuts due to an allergy). We had to just cancel it and get the check.
