It breaks my heart to rate them this low, because this place use to be Me & my Family's Favorite & we would celebrate EVERY SINGLE special event here, but Not any more. They've lost their charm. We were a Big Party of 15 people (of which half of them were guests from New York) Anyway, so we waited there to be seated 10 mins then another 10 to be given the menus (so I just ended up self serving myself) & another 10 to be served water & have the table set & so on.....Meanwhile I saw other people complaining to be seated & catered to as well. All the food tasted like it was made from the same sweet sauce. Then we asked for Fried Rice, instead got White Rice. And lastly, but certainly Not the least at all....So, I had placed an order for To-Go alongside of all the flood I placed in house & when asked to have some of the condiments to go they wouldn't give them tp Me unless I paid food it. That not only was embarrassing in front of my out of state guests rather a shock for myself as well, knowing I had obviously paid for all my other food. How much could a few packs of duck sauce or the little container of hot peppers cost them, knowing their Menu is RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE!!!!!! Anywho, so from the Menu, to the Flavors, to the Customer Service & just the Busy Ambiance of the place, which use to be our Go to Spot has now Disappointed Me immensely for Me to be writing this lengthy review. Tho, I must say the Owners Richard & Kevin are both very Kind. I hope this review helps! Having said all of this, I still think this place can do better & go back to doing what they initially got known for. Happy...
Read moreBe very careful ordering food from this place. I ordered a large order for my family and I can almost guarantee with every ounce of credibility, that they served me reheated food from the prior night. I can certainly guarantee General Tso’s were from the night before, they just simply replenished it with the sauce and reheated the chicken. When I was chewing the chicken, the pieces were literally hard as a well done steak and were getting caught up in my teeth.
The fried wings were definitely from the night before, and they simply reheated them - the breading on the fried wings was yellow and flaky, and falling apart - clearly showing that the wings are not fresh and were reheated. All other items like the fried rice, combo fried rice, and chicken chili seemed fine and did not show signs of reheating, but I promise all the readers and potential customers this restaurant re-heats a lot of the food from the previous night and serves it to the customers without any shame.
I have spent a lot of money at this restaurant for the past 10 years, and while half of the times I ordered, the food appears to be fresh, the other half I know they cheated me by giving me old food - but enough is enough, I will NEVER order from this place again. Also, don’t waste your time calling this restaurant to complain about your food, they are programmed to say, “all of our food is fresh.” They will never accept that they reheated the food from the night before and cheated the customer.
Shame on this restaurant’s owner(s) - I may consider...
Read moreI have been eating here for many years. Ive ordered take out just as much as dining in. They always have exceptional food. The owners and staff are kind and attentive. I am always greeted when I come and I'm seated immediately.
To this day I have not had a bad experience here. I've heard other's complaints and concerns but I have never experienced bad service or long wait time for food. One time, many years ago my mom complained that the lo mein was too oily, but we addressed the concerns with the staff and they fixed it immediately. Now whenever we order lo mein for her we simply ask for it to be not so oily. All you have to do is ask and they will accommodate.
Everyone has a preference, but complaining about the problem without finding a solution first is just wasting time and energy.
I've had family members complain that the place does not look nice, but I think it's a silly complaint. They have tables, chairs, clean utensils and plates, and always fresh and delicious food. The lunch buffet is worth it, and the food in the buffet is always fresh.
I've had family complain about the price and I think this is silly as well. If you want cheap food, go to a cheap halal Chinese restaurant. I don't mind paying a dollar or two extra for exceptional quality Chinese food, in a clean restaurant, with friendly and attentive staff. The cheap places will give you cheap food, cheap service, and a cheap experience.
I'll keep coming back as long as...
