This spot is absolutely amazing. There is a picture menu that corresponds to the normal menu so that you can view what the dishes look like. The pictures aren't staged ones either so you know it's legit and what you order is what you will get. We came here for the first time and got the moo ping meat stick appetizers. I would highly recommend them. Usually when we order it's been very dry but the ones from here were succulent and took me back to my time in Thailand. We also got the drunken noodles with beef. Boy was it spicy, but absolutely delicious. I would get it again, but probably ask for medium spice next time. We also got the Siam fried rice. It turned out pink and tasted sweet. Super interesting and it paired amazingly with the drunken noodles because it helped with the spiciness of the drunken noodles as well as provide a sweetness to the saltiness of the noodles. In general, this place actually has the burn taste in their food that you expect only from a wok and cooks their meat very well. Would go out of my way to eat here in the future. Definitely top 3 Thai places that I have eaten at in the Northern...
Read moreA cute little restaurant with a bungalow type theme inside. We’ve come here for a couple years and have enjoyed each dish we have tried. I especially like the 9Pad Thai signature dish where the wrap your pad Thai in an egg omelet but I decided to try something a little different this time. I got the pad Thai on a bed of crispy noodles. Similar to lo mein noodles, light and airy and definitely crispy! The sauce was a little more vinegary and tangy than the regular pad Thai. This is a good dish to have on a hot summer day as it will make you feel refreshed and its not a heavy dish.
The restaurant is located in a busy strip mall/plaza with lots of other restaurants but we’ve never had an issue finding parking. Bathrooms are well hidden as you need to wind to the back of the restaurant down hallways (for those that may need assistance or wheelchair access - there are no stairs but a turn or two), but...
Read moreThis was the best authentic Thai food I've found in the past three years living in the DMV area. I actually think it's the best Thai food I've had in the US hands down.
Why? Because I've been to Northern Thailand twice in rural areas and this food was exactly like the authentic food I had on the streets and restaurants there.
The owners are actually from Thailand. The owners and the staff are very friendly and kind and humble. I appreciated our conversation and their service and obviously, the food they prepared. We had the Thai fried rice and Pad Thai. We will definitely be coming back here.
I almost forgot to mention that their prices are very very good. I'm used to paying over $10 for Pad Thai, but here it was less than $9 since we went in during the lunch (it was a Saturday, too!).
I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant if you want friendly service and authentic...
