Atmosphere: Clean and modern. Decor is all military and/or first responder related. Kitchen is wide open behind the cashier. Mostly kids working dinner shift. Be patient. Our cashier asked someone to put more sausage down for my order and the kid in the back gave him a shrug I read as "not my problem." Luckily, another cook said I got you and immediately went to do it. We were checked on pultiple times. General net positive customer service experience.
Food: After all that's why you go to BBQ place. Wiefy, Princess Twiggy (teenage daughter) and I were going to get the sampler. Didn't quite have enough to share around (1/4# or about how much you would get on a conversative sandwich). We all just go the 1/3# meals so we could share the different meats per cashier recommendation. +1 for the good tip. Cheese, Jalepeno sausage was good... but no the best. Tasted kind of like commericial summer sausage. Meh. Pulled pork was really good with the right sauce. Which of the 6 signature sauces is up to you! They have them sitting right there on the table. Princess T got the brisket... Oh boy. That was some dang fine brisket. Didn't even need sauce. Sides: coleslaw was a touch on the vinegary side, mac n cheese had taste and consistency of buffet style (not a fan), and bake beans... oooooohhhh them some good beans. Little bit of a zing backed up by hardy brisket CHUNKs. BIG CHUNKS of brisket. I could eat an entire crockpot of...

Read moreWas pleasantly delighted how good the food was about half an hour before closing because at other places, I've been disappointed. But here, it was a great 8:30pm experience. I called in order 20 min earlier and travelled from the other side of Springfield to get there. They were making part of my order and bagging up the rest when i got there. NICE! Will definitely be back! I got pulled chicken that was breast meat 1/2 hr before closing and it wasn't dry as paper like other places I've been way earlier in the day! Most impressive. Guy that took my phone order (Tony or Terry or something else. I totally forgot. Feel bad. Sorry bruh!) was patient and helped guide me to a decision as to what to get. If I had to nit pick and and have a not so positive comment, it would be in the form of this suggestion: if corporate would let the buns be buttered and toasted on griddle, they'd get 6 of 5 stars from me! NEXT. LEVEL. SAMMICH. UPGRADE! The other guy that prepped my dessert knew all about each sauce and described them and gave me 6. My faves are in the photo by the SAMMICH in the container. Sweet tea is good & lemonade too. This place is goin my list of bbq faves(its a short list because bbq is a passion & is what...
