This was one of the WORST experience i have had at a restaurant. If i could give them negative stars i would. I haven't been there for a VERY long time (during covid time) but i wanted to try their chicken sandwich. So I did a mobile order. I got to pick up my order inside & the doors were locked but the drive through was running (this was right about noon on a Friday). I was like whats going on. During covid this would happen but we were well past COVID. I check to see if i can cancel my order though the app but you can't so i go through the drive through since i couldn't cancel my order. So when i reached the speaker i asked her "isn't your lobby open anymore" which to that she starts to get a little angry & only thing she would tell me is the lobby only gets closed for a reason & i have a reason (well ok). I told her my name & i had a mobile order. When i finally got to the window she asked me what i got. I thought she just wanted something to distinguish my order from the others & she says just a chicken sandwich (& i'm thinking ok i told you my name & a mobile order at the speaker). So then she wants me to repeat everything in my order & then says well that will be $$$. I was like i paid through the mobile app & she was like YOU HAVE TO TELL ME YOUR NAME IF YOU DONT I"M GOING TO CHARGE YOU AGAIN (which i was thinking i did give you my name at the speaker). I can see them get my ticket off the printer then & i ordered 15 minutes before). So i have to pull forward. When i finally got my food was it good? I would say its barely passible. one of my sides was Red Beans & Rice & they didn't even give me a spoon. So how was i supposed to eat it? With my fingers. Wost place ever. I would recommend going to one of the other chicken places really close like Raisn Cains....
Read moreWhen it comes to the food, it’s good. If you like Popeyes then you will enjoy the food. Sometimes they have off days but I think that’s pretty consistent at any chain fast food spot. The quality of food is the only reason why I am giving this restaurant 2 stars instead of 1.
Popeyes… in Springfield IL. Both locations (Wabash and South Grand)…. Have HORRIBLE SERVICE. It’s like the employees have no training at all. I don’t know what it is but it seems like they never hire individuals with the ability to do the job. They are always flustered and confused. It’s like it’s everyone’s first day.
When you walk in or go through the drive thru… YOU WILL WAIT A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF TIME TO BE GREETED. It’s like it will kill a Popeyes worker to say “hello, welcome to Popeyes, I’ll be with you in a moment.” They will not make eye contact with you. You have to force them to take your order. I literally had to blow my horn in the drive thru after waiting for 20 minutes with no greeting or acknowledge.
I think in order to be hired at Popeyes you must have the most callous attitude and the worst customer service skills known to mankind.
Also, I get that sometimes it can be a wait on chicken. But it seems like the minimum wait time at Popeyes is 30 minutes on a good day. On an average day… prepare to wait 45 minutes to an hour. And I just feel like it’s no way a 12 piece Family Meal should take that long.
The unfortunate truth is if you like Popeyes and live here you will have to deal with this. So I encourage you to not go when you’re super hungry or in a rush. And try to go on a day where you are in a fantastic mood and nothing can...
Read moreJust visited the wabash location. We ordered the 5pc 2 can dine on the mobile order. I asked if we can get all dark meat for my meal.
The girl named Shavon gave us strong attitude immediately. She simply said na-ah. Then my wife said she has requested it to be all dark meat before without any problem. Then the girl continue to respond with na-ah several times giving an “I don’t give a sh about what you want, you take what it is” attitude. After she prepared the food, she dropped it heavily on the counter. My wife asked her what is her name, she refused to give it and asked why. My wife said she does not like her attitude. Then she denied that she had attitude and finally explaining why she refused to do all dark meat for my combo, claiming that since I used the coupon, the combo must comes out as it is! And she said this location is near closing time, and that’s why she can’t accommodate the request. This store doesn’t close until 10pm and we went in at 7pm! Full of lies :)
