Smallcakes Cupcakery And Creamery — Restaurant in Springfield

First off why do you have a drive thru if the man attending the window is going to be rude asf? He is extremely rude!! LOL almost make me believe he don’t like my kind ok! Because he was really nice to the other lady inside but anyways I pulled up and said hello mind you this have happened several times now so I have learned to stop asking about the flavors because he is clearly never in the mood to tell me what’s on the menu ok!!! I mean at least print it out and post it on paper since it’s going to kill him to say it geez🚩 I said is that cookies & cream he said it is everyday super sarcastically 🥴 I said very quick ok just give me that and a white wedding cake please….. Mind you a business with good customer service skills is going to keep utilizing they little point system but every time I come there I have to ask him can he put my number in so I can keep acquiring my point right😒 Not todayyyyy Clearly he wasn’t in the mood to ask me if I was a member or for my number 🥵 Then I go look on Facebook on they page and see they promotion and I just brought 2 cupcakes so Sir you just so happened to forget to mention the promotion to me 🤔 🫣🤷🏾‍♀️ Ok I get it but have a great day and like I said I usually don’t say nothing at all but I won’t be back because clearly you have a deeply rooted problem with ……. So like I asked when running a business back in the day we started with a basic greeting followed up with a promo or upsell and ending with a thank ya or good bye ✌️ 😘 treat all your customers the same please...

I was in town for an hour and had a taste for something sweet and delightful. I googled “bakeries near me” and “smallcakes a cupcakery“ showed up as a result. I looked at the pictures and menu and my desire began to grow.

I saw flavors labeled “cookies n cream” and “vanilla and chocolate “ and decided to drive right on over to the local shop. It is very clean and organized and the staff was very friendly and I felt welcomed.

The only issue is that the product is lacking the quality that would warrant bragging about being on “Good Morning America “ for. As for the actual cupcakes, the name of this bakery is very fitting. You receive very “small cakes” topped with audaciously thick layers of the most artificial tasting icing I’ve ever tasted coming from a “bakery.”

I strongly believe that this business has potential but that icing is not “it.” Refine this product. The cookies n cream did not taste anything like cookies n cream. The flavors could’ve been elevated more …...

The shop doesn't seem to be completely finished internally. The girl who gave me my cupcakes was very sweet but everyone else working there was really dry and unfriendly. There was a man walking around that I assumed was the owner and, for this being a new business he was NOT very friendly, didn't speak to anyone that I noticed and actually looked me in my eyes and looked away without a smile or a hello.

As far as the cupcakes, they were very moist and delicious. A lot of the flavors were not available-I assume because they're sold out. That was fine. There enough available for my family and I to sample and we all enjoyed them. I'm not sure if I will be back as the customer service was not great, especially for this being a new business. I kind of expect big smiles and Chick-fil-a like service when going to a business that...
