Springfield Beer Company — Restaurant in Springfield

Ever since my cat died I stopped drinking craft beer and going out to bars (that's a long story). It was a long road filled with garbage beverages like Steel Reserve and OE 800. After a while, I wasn't even able to remember what good, local American beer tasted like. I was not unlike the fox with the sour grapes from Aesop's fable. A few months back a friend of mine brought over a six pack of Mexican lager from SBC and changed my whole perspective. Since then I've been enjoying various brews from local brewers and my favorite Springfield bar/ brewery is definitely Springfield Beer Co. I'm even thinking about getting another cat!...

This brewery is far and away the best brewery in Springfield. The quality of their beer stacks up to any other brewery nationally, and the head brewer/owner is passionate about the beer he brews. The quality of the beer, across the board, is stellar. I have tried every craft brewery between Bloomington and St. Louis, and this brewery is without a doubt the best. I live in Southwest Florida and frequent some well known fantastic breweries between Naples, St. Petersburg, and Tampa. This brewery undoubtedly holds up to those breweries. I live I. Chicago and for 3+ years I have visited Springfield roughly 2 times a month and never miss out on stopping into Springfield Beer Company to enjoy a few pints! Usually more than once each time I visit there. My absolute favorite is the Coffee Blonde and my fiancé loves the Coffee Blonde Nitro! It’s the people that make the experience great too!
