We Love our BBQ and do plenty of it on the weekends here at home, but during the week between school and work there just is not much time to que up the smoker and make the good stuff. So, for the last two years since moving to Springfield, we have made it a point that when we want BBQ we order from the local establishments in this area (from Willard to Springfield, Nixa, Republic and Ozark. We have ordered from most of these smoked food prevaiers and had great experiences and not so great experiences. Today we ordered from Stusquatch's Rockstar BBQ located at 2463 W Sunshine St Suite 124, here in Springfield, MO. As usual I ordered a mixed meat plate, "The Full Squatch" with Mosh Pitt Beans and cheese curds. The meat was off the hook. The brisket was perfect, the pulled chicken and pulled pork was top level, but both the pork belly and the rib is definitely the best I have had here in the area. We tried a bunch of the side items including some cheese curds and they passed the taste test and more. I definitely will be going to, or ordering from StuScuatch's...
Read moreNot even sure where to start the review since everything was so great. The owner and staff were extremely friendly. The food was extremely good. Definitely one of the best (if not the best) BBQ places in Springfield. My gf and I had cheese curds to start which were really tasty with their homemade ranch which was nice and thick and creamy. I had a pulled pork sandwich with bacon and onion tanglers. The pulled pork was great and didn’t have any fatty chunks like you sometimes get with lower quality places. I tried a few different sauces which were all really good with my top two being the maple bourbon and mango habanero. I had mac n cheese for my side which was really thick and cheesy so definitely a good choice. My gf had their burger which she said was one of the best in Springfield as well with their fries that had a nice seasoning on them. Overall great experience and I'm looking forward to going back and trying the rest of their menu which all sounded awesome. Also, the rock themed naming was a...
Read moreI absolutely hate giving bad reviews especially when it comes to local eateries. My suggestion with this place is to go during normal eating hours. We came just after two hours before close and we got the squatch platter, they were out of brisket and we were fine with that. They said they would just put extra of whatever else was on the plate. They did not, they gave use chicken that was tasteless, the queso was mash potato consistency, the burnt end were rubber, like they microwaved all the meats. The potato salad was made with raw crunchy potatoes. The take away s were the fried chips for the “queso” was good. And the “not microwaved” jalapeño poppers were okay. Don’t give them your money for food you could get reheated at your friends bbq that taste the...
