Todd's Place — Restaurant in Springfield

Today I had Cinnamon Swirl French Toast which came with 2 Eggs, 2 Meat & Hashbrowns. It was wonderful, just like everything here! So good, that yes, I forgot to take a picture!

Loved it 20 years ago & I still love it now! The quality remains unchanged & I hope they NEVER go out of business! I have always been tickled pink by the food & the service. If you have never been here, you are seriously missing out on one of the best, nicest & most well established places around. GO NOW! I have been here 3 different times in the last month, that's how good it is. If I were wealthier, I would go every day, no joke. I took my friend & my Son there, since they had never been & both of them are forever hooked & have already went back several times themselves. THAT is how good it is. I never once sneezed either! Been here several times and always had a good experience. Today was a little different. Was sat quickly but crickets for twenty minutes, 3 other tables sat after us and their orders taken before Maria (server) even came over for water. When I mentioned we have been ready to order, she got a lil snarky and said well sorry , very disingenuous, and remained impersonal for the remainder, with a smile. She was very polite it seemed with other tables, but it seemed as though she knew most of them as regulars. Weird experience. The other tables all finished before us and we waited for her for too long to get boxes so I went and got my own. My moms pancakes look as though someone had already started eating them(check pics) I don’t like leaving poor reviews but have to call it as I see it for the sake of customer representation amd maybe she can learn from the experience, as it definitely affected ours to some degree. I hadn't eaten here in a while. They used to have the best breakfast in town though, so I decided to place an order to go. I ordered a Spanish Omlette with hashbrowns, pancakes, and a side of sausage. Instead of just telling me there would be an extra charge for the hashbrowns, they didn't bother including them. There was no salsa or sour cream provided, with my omelet. It was the first time I ever had crispy sausage links, and two of my pancakes were small and cooked to the point that they were like leather, completely inedible and the third contained what appeared to be macadamia nuts and was raw and gooey in the center. I tried calling, and the girl that answered cut me off before I could even finish saying what was wrong, told me you can't have pancakes and hashbrowns, and hung up on me.
