West Side Sports Bar — Restaurant in Springfield

Came here to watch game one of the World Series, saw some paper ads about it at a local bar in Ozark so I figured I would check it out. It’s a relatively small bar with a lot of bright lights that kind of are annoying If you like a darker setting. One of the walls is lined up with slot machine, which gives it a cheap gas station feel.

The bartender was a nice lady, told me all the beers they had in was very accommodating. I saw they had a bottle of Maccallen 12 And I asked the bartender how much $ would it be to just have a taste? I just wanted to try some of it never had none and was willing to pay for it, but I did not want a full shot of it. The bartender stated that she had to go ask the owner what she would charge, when she came back she stated that he said “no” and that he doesn’t do taste tests. I reclarified that I was willing to pay Whatever they were asking to just sample it and she said “no, you’re good”

In my opinion, if you have liquor out that you are selling, and I’m willing to pay whatever you wanna charge me to just taste it, I think you would be more than happy to give me a price. I don’t think I will be back here just cause the whole vibe and the owner seems like he’s kind of stuck up just cause he owns some bar in...

Oh no. Maybe it is a Cricket bar, but check out the only post. Even in that one of the screens is black. I walked in and both were off. Perhaps to save electricity for the keno machines?

Will leave it at that. If it really is a Sports bar it will not last 6 months.

Its a cool little spot. The bar tender wasn't overly friendly but he was attentive and eager to help. We got the buger and fries. They were ok, nothing special. But for the portion size it was a good value. I only got a beer but i noticed they have a good selection of liquor and some pretty high end stuff. Good music and cool vibe. Im definitely going back to try some of the more unique...
