This is an update in April 2025. I’m happy to say it looks like Wonder Springfield has mostly gotten its act together on the delivery issues plaguing it last year. I’ve ordered three times in the last month and all have been on time. Out-of-stock problems have also been addressed. The one nagging issue is that food often arrives only warm and requires reheating. Otherwise it’s back in the rotation. Look for generous promotions that help keep it a good relative value.
I used to be a big fan of Wonder before their relaunch. I would drive to a pick up point in Berkeley Heights a few times a month because they didn't yet deliver to my town. At some point, they ran into financial difficulties and pulled out of the market, followed by a relatively recent reincarnation where they deliver from a central location rather than dispatching individual, restaurant-specific trucks. I still love the concept but unfortunately they just haven't been able to get their act together this time. The app is buggy and totally unreliable relative to the status of the order and at least for the Springfield NJ operation they have outsourced delivery to a fleet of snails. My last three orders were promised within a half hour and took well over an hour, The food was no longer hot and it defeats the whole purpose of a "famous" restaurant experience. Many items on the limited menus are out-of-stock at 5PM. They are already dropping restaurants and if I were a name chef I'd be pulling out of the sinking ship too. It's really a shame because again the concept is great and we've had some excellent meals and referred many friends. The one bright spot is the exceptional customer service back in headquarters that is reachable through the app. They are very polite and responsive and do what they can from 3000 miles away. I guess The Wonder...

Some towns may have seen during Covid times they had those trucks driving around, and it seems like they’ve since changed their concept to the handful of stores.
So at a single location you can order a variety of different dishes across multiple cuisines. I haven’t researched the concept but I think Wonder purchased the recipes from their selected restaurants and then are able to make those dishes on demand.
I’ve ordered twice from this location and have found it relatively interesting. We enjoyed their grilled branzino actually and have tried a handful of other things. It’s hard to try everything because their concept is almost like giving you too many choices.
Still, it’s an easy option for takeout because it’s a single place that has almost enough options for whatever anyone is feeling.
No issues with ordering or their interface. While they have a bit of space indoors to eat, I didn’t see anyone eating while I was there. I did see a handful of people coming in like me to pick up their orders.
In all, I’d probably order again when I’m feeling...

After trying a handful of their options, Jota by José Andrés which offers Spanish tapas and entrees and Alanza, a pizzeria, both stand out. From Jota, the Carrilleras de Cerdo (pork cheeks braised in salmorra (a smoky, garlicky tomato sauce) atop mashed potatoes, gravy super satisfied. Then from Alanza, the Tartufo & Funghi Pizza with plenty of mushrooms, truffle sauce, mozz, and fontina impressed. For dessert, the yummy and airy Chocolate Pudding from Tejas with deep espresso, dark chocolate, and vanilla bourbon flavors was huge and sharable. Wonder's definitely full of wonders.
NOTES/TIPS: **Excellence service. **Plenty of parking in a lot shared by Gold Valley Asian Supermarket and other businesses. **It's best to install the Wonder app to place an order, receive order notifications, and get deals. **A couple of tables are inside but it's mostly a take out place. **Same kids menu across all...
