My husband and I were excited to try a new place in Springville. The burgers and sandwiches are a la carte so if you want a side with your main, be prepared to pay more.
I ordered the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich and the beer battered fries. My husband got the Pastrami Burger and the Mac and cheese. The sandwich was good overall, I liked the added coleslaw and pickles. The bbq sauce didn’t have much flavor in my opinion so I ended up adding Chubby’s sauce which made it better. I loved the softness of the burger buns. But be prepared for your sandwich to be messy as you eat it. The beer battered fries were very delicious, especially dipped in their ranch! My husband’s pastrami burger was really good. The mac and cheese was disappointing as it seemed like a freezer mac and cheese you could warm up in a microwave. We wanted to try the banana pudding and the Texas sheet cake but both were out, so we settled on the Oreo pudding. The Oreo pudding was good. The cinnamon scones were perfect - I highly recommend them.
I realize it was a busy Friday night but the table we could sit at had previous occupants dirty napkins and leftover containers. When they brought our food, we thought they had forgotten to give us our Oreo pudding. We flagged down a waitress and asked where it was she said in the fridge up front, which was fine. However, nobody told us before that is where it would be so a heads up would have been nice.
Overall our experience was good and I’d like to go back to try more...
Read moreWalked in today because my son wanted a burger. We asked the girl at the register multiple times if the burger buns have egg in them, she told me no. I said it’s an allergy are you sure? She acted annoyed but asked the person behind the window making the food. He told her no. I could tell they were unsure of their answer but still told me no and let us order knowing he has an allergy. While waiting for the burger, I looked online for the ingredients. The buns have egg in them. So I went to the register and told her. Through the food window I could see the girl talking to the manager. They both looked unsure of what to do and seemed baffled. She came back and I asked for a refund. They had to figure out how to give me a refund. Ridiculous that no one in the restaurant knows how to find out the ingredients of their food. In no way should they be saying something doesn’t have egg in it, without being totally sure. They’re putting someones life at risk by...
Read moreBeen coming to Chubbys for years. We remember your first restaurant in Pleasant Grove the tiny cafe food was really good back then. We Came to the Springville location and it was just ok. The fries tasted strongly of fish. Like really old fishy oil. For me nothing ruins fries like fishy oil tasting fries. I think they were frying the fries in the same oil as the other seafoods. It really just was gross. For the amount of money we paid it was disappointing to say the least. Won't be back to this location most likely. "The owner actually reached out to me to make things right that's dedication changed my review just because of that. Will be back to try it again...
