I'm a very disgruntled and unpleased customer and that's putting it mildly. I visited the McDonalds at 431 Marietta Rd Springville, Al 35146 on Thursday February 23rd 2023. I ordered a Big Mac Combo and a Fish Filet sandwich only. I specified Fish Filet Sandwich only but was charged for a combo. I told the employee at the first window the amount was wrong and that I only ordered a sandwich with the Big Mac Combo. The employee seemed upset and very short that I advised of this. He went to get his manager James regarding the issue. James wasn't upset that I told him about the error but no one apologized for the mix-up. I can afford two combo's easily that's not the issue. I think the majority of the staff at this store need a class on Customer Service Etiquette. I say this because I have worked as a Quality Analyst for years and while this is a fast food restaurant, I know they are busy all the time they can be more courteous if they (the staff) make an error. When I got to the second window the young man asked me what was my order. I'm not sure why this happened because I was already charged for two combos and had paid for two. The store always have little notes hung in their window to be nice and polite to customers, well that is not the service they are rendering to their customers. The service was not welcoming tonight and I think that they should also practice first being nice and courteous to their customers. Customers will always tell others about their bad experiences and only tell about their good experiences if it's superior service. My experience was a very bad one and it is more about the principle about the service I was given as to why I wrote this review/complaint. I will return to the store if the issue of charging me for a combo when I only requested/received a sandwich is not corrected in two days as James the manager or assistant manager advised me to do. The issue is regarding the poor service and the principal. I don't think anyone should be rushed, or treated like I was this evening. I'm a resident of Springville, not just passing through (not that any customer should be treated this way. I'm one unhappy customer that's sure that my suggestions or complaint will not be...
Read moreStopped by here last Tuesday evening at 7:50. When I got there I saw an employee at the door and patrons on the outside. I looked at my watch thinking "they can't have closed the lobby already" but the employee let those people in and waited on me to get to the door. When she let us (me and my daughter) in she said "FYI I'm locking you in", confused obviously, and thinking there was some sort of safety issue outside, I said "Why?" to which she answered something about her only having three people there and she couldn't run it all- a week later and I still don't understand how locking people in was going to help that perceived problem; and I still disagree that three employees was an "issue"- but anyway, I said "well that seems like a fire safety hazard but whatever". She said the door was easy to unlock and that it would be fine. While waiting in line to order more people came to the door, I waited a moment for her to get it before I went to open it. I couldn't get the door to open, apparently it's easy "if you know how to work it". Yes, those were her words to me with the worst look on her face. After a few more minutes I finally get to the register and she leaves and goes to the back to be replaced by someone else. Took my order, waited (of course) for food and left. Food was hot and fresh but the attitude and lack of safety concern was, to say the...
Read moreI normally go to this location because it's closer to our house than other McDonald's around us and the food is usually pretty good. Tonight started with the forgetting to put my bacon on my Bacon Double Quarter Pounder. Not a huge deal and I didn't feel like calling or going up there over missing bacon. The fries were also half cold, half hot like their using old fries. Didn't bother me too much either because of how far away our house is the fries aren't normally that hot anyway. The one thing that made me decide to post this review is my tea. It tasted fine. In fact I drink basically all of it before I realized the problem. When I went to go pour out the ice and throw away the cup I realized there was another cup shoved inside. I don't know what made me take the little cup out but when I did there was clumps of either mold or dirt or something floating around in the bottom of the big cup. It like they used the little cup to hide the fact that there was gross whatever in the bottom of the big cup. Totally unacceptable and unhealthy. Just throw away the cup, clean whatever caused the problem and make a new drink. Don't serve stuff that can potentially make people sick. I won't be returning to this McDonald's after this and will drive further for...
