Grace Meat + Three — Restaurant in St. Louis

I really wanted to absolutely love this place... it has MEAT in the name! Plus, I've seen them a bunch on the 'gram, so I knew I wanted to visit for quite some time.

My wife and I got lucky and it wasn't super busy just yet when we got there. Unfortunately, the cashier/associate who was at the register/counter didn't seem too interested in engaging us, recommending anything, asking us if we had been there before, or similar. We didn't necessarily feel rushed as others walked in behind us, but the whole process felt awkward for first timers.

We eventually chose a few things (breakfast sandwich with fried chicken, Egg Rick Muffin and an heirloom corn waffle). The fried chicken on the breakfast sandwich was spectacular! I'd totally come back to try that in a different format, too. The Egg Rick Muffin was okay at best - the muffin itself is pretty hearty, so if you like carbs you'll enjoy it. The sausage is strange; neither my wife could put our 'finger' on it, but there was something strange going on inside. And we couldn't finish it. The corn waffle is as named (we just had no idea) - it appears to be chock full of cornmeal, so the crunch was a bit of a surprise. Again, had we been asked about being first timers, and been engaged, we would have been more likely to ask questions.

The cashier gave us a water cup and one for my paid-for drink, but we were never told what to do with them. Again, opportunity to educate new guests was lost. We sat at a table for 10-15 minutes and I finally decided to just walk around and see if there was a drink station. Found it - over on the backside of the bar. Had no clue, but glad when I found it.

The associate who brought our food, which came out at a reasonable time, was nice - even asking if we needed anything else. He even came back later and grabbed some of our dishes mid-meal.

The bartender was seriously chatting up 4-5 folks who were sitting at the bar and I wished we had met him first. Seemed really nice and welcoming. We just felt like outsiders, rather than guests.

Anyway, like I said, the chicken on the breakfast sandwich was awesome. They have flavor choices and even pieces or tenders (and more). So, I would be willing to just come here for chicken. At least I wouldn't be a 'rookie' the...

For the first time, the decision was made to order Thanksgiving dinner from a restaurant. Grace was an easy decision since their food is very much comfort-style food, and knowing that our expectation was everything would be amazing

To be clear, all the food that was ordered exceeded our expectations. Probably the best smoked turkey I've ever had, including my brother's and my efforts at roasting and smoking turkeys!

However, we also experienced some massively above and beyond Customer Service. I picked up our order, and despite my instinct to confirm everything was in the box since it was checked in front of me when I picked up, I overlooked the fact that our order of sweet potatoes wasn't actually in the box.

Not the end of the world, but I called the restaurant to find out about a refund for the missed item since coming to pick it up was impractical; the employee I spoke to offered to have the potatoes dropped off to us about an hour later. I explained I was 20+ miles away, but that wasn't a problem.

About 1.5-2 hours after making the phone call, just when we thought the call I made had gotten lost in the shuffle of the day; the employee I had spoken to called me to let me know the sweet potatoes were on the front step and that she hoped we'd enjoy our meal. I regret not getting her name for a specific shout-out in this review.

We were blown away by the customer service and enjoyed what may be the best mashed sweet potatoes any of us had ever had included with our Thanksgiving meal.

All in all, Grace Meat + Three exceeded expectations in every way. All of the food we ordered for our thanksgiving meal was of exceptional quality and flavor. They went tremendously above and beyond to make sure our meal was correct.

There were only a couple of us for Thanksgiving; however, we're all telling this story to everyone we know; businesses providing exceptional service deserve credit, especially on a crazy day like Thanksgiving. I will continue to be a customer and tell everyone that they should come and...

I recently visited Grace Meat + Three with high hopes of enjoying a satisfying meal in a pleasant atmosphere. However, my experience fell short of expectations due to several significant drawbacks.

The dishes I ordered lacked the flavor and finesse I had anticipated. The ingredients seemed mediocre, and the overall taste was underwhelming. Considering the restaurant's reputation, I expected a much more satisfying culinary experience.

Additionally, the lack of seating space was a major inconvenience. The limited seating arrangements made it challenging to find a comfortable spot to enjoy my meal. The tables were placed too close together, which resulted in a cramped and claustrophobic environment. It felt as if the restaurant prioritized cramming in as many customers as possible, sacrificing the comfort of its patrons in the process.

In conclusion, while the atmosphere at Grace Meat + Three was undeniably pleasant and visually appealing, the overall experience left much to be desired. The disappointing quality of the food and the inadequacy of seating arrangements greatly impacted my visit.
