When I got to the restaurant I was quickly greeted and taken upstairs. After that I waited to order for quite some time, but I was fine with it. However, once the food came it was like kind of dropped at us. No here’s your food or do you need anything else. Just dropped and ran. The pasta is not spicy at all, the curry was good, and the rice was ok. When one of my table mates went down to talk to him he quickly got on the phone and held up a finger. Then when I asked to talk to him, same thing. I wanted 5 minutes then went down to talk to him. I asked for the owner so that I could speak to him. When the man said oh it’s just me and the cook, I told him that he needs to be attentive to the people he’s serving, I asked for raitha and salad and he said there wasn’t any but once I told him I saw it online he quickly changed his words and said oh yes we have raitha and salad. At this point I was fed but with his rudeness and said that this isn’t how a restaurant deals with there customers. At this time it was only my table and a table across from mine in the restaurant. He didn’t come up to any of us to ask if we needed anything else.
I would recommend honestly, going somewhere else to eat because these people only care about money and not the service...
Read moreWe stopped in here around 8:15 after a long day of exploring some favorite neighborhoods. Everyone was super polite and friendly; our server did kindly inform us that the kitchen actually was closing at 8:45. Having both worked in hospitality we understood we needed to order fast (and tip well!) because they were trying to clean up and get home. We ordered right away and everything was outstanding. We started with the variety appetizer and the falafels were the best we’d ever had. The lamb dish was outstanding and when my chicken dish arrived they were extremely apologetic and said they’d bring more chicken (the portion already plated, by the way, already seemed like enough!) soon they brought out fresh chicken and the flavor and juiciness was incredible. Even the basmati rice, which in some restaurants can be too dry, was perfectly buttery and flavorful with the perfect amount of a sweet/savory garnish of raisins and shredded carrot (trust me- it’s delicious). They even brought us complimentary rice pudding which was SO good! We ended up leaving around 9:30 and were greeted by all the staff with genuinely friendly smiles and thanks. Highly recommend. 10/10 for service, flavor, quality and atmosphere, not to mention very...
Read moreThe food was an A+! Even the plain rice was outstanding. We had butter chicken and chicken broast. Extremely satisfied. Wow. The chicken was so tender. Very impressed. The chicken pulao with carrots and raisins was great. The staff were so attentive. One tiny request on the butter chicken is just put a little less salt and it will be 11 out of 10. One more tiny constructive criticism: though the upstairs main dining room is already nice, please consider some soft glowing lighting and/or candle-type lighting, maybe flowers. Just think about the atmosphere being a little more clean and warm and inviting. But I do plan to come back here every time I visit St. Louis. Loved your delicious meals and so proud to see such an excellent halal restaurant. Thanks so much for an enjoyable night out with my husband!
Update: returned to the restaurant again Oct 19, 2024, with more of my relatives. The taste was even better! I highly recommend the Mediterranean feast appetizer for a group of 5 or 6, chicken wings appetizer, soup. And of course we got butter chicken, curry chicken, chicken broast. Waiters are so attentive and caring. Nice, chill...
