Update - 12/27/24 - I’m back and my rating is down again. The last 2-3 visits here have been dreadful. The service (ordering online) is easy and the pick up is quick through the drive through lane but honestly I’d rather wait longer and get better quality food. The food is soggy and the portion control is awful. Do they not drain beans/ veggies / salsa when they scoop them into the bowl or burrito? Do they not have any portion size quality control for what they add? We’ve gotten meals that are not even edible cause they’re either totally wet and soggy. The “Crispy tortillas” shell tacos are sitting in a To-go container lined with bean and salsa juice. The burritos fall apart cause they’re dripping juices from them, or the ingredients are just thrown in without any equal distribution. No one likes meal of soupy soggy quac, beans, salsa and barely any rice. Chipotle is one of the few places that caters to my family dietary requirements and preferences and it’s gotten so gross that we end up throwing away roughly 50% of the food we ordered over the last two visits.
1 star out of 5 stars is as generous as I can go.
Update - 2/20/22 - the issue with forgetting items seems to have improved. The last few carry out visits were accurate! Thanks to management and staff for the improvements.
Update - I have been back to this restaurant several times and something is forgotten from my order every time.
I’ll start this review with the positives. I have been to several Chipotle locations and the quality of the food at this new location is by far the best I’ve had. When ordering online or through the app the pick up window is fast and convenient and has easy access to Randall. The employees have always been very friendly and attentive when arriving.
The reason I am writing this review is this location needs an improved process for confirming that everything on the order is correct. I order for my family roughly once every 1-2 weeks and in four of the last five times I have picked up food here we have been missing items from our order. Sometimes it’s side salsas and guacamole, but most often it’s chips/kids chips and kids milks/juices etc, this is hard to deal with for kids. I haven’t called to let anyone know because the missing items are typically only valued at a few $, but it adds up. Plus, I don’t want to drive back when I have already arrived at home.
Im hoping someone reads this review because with the frequency this has happened to us we can’t be the only ones.
I will still order here at this location for the reasons I mentioned at the start of this review but hope to see improvement in the accuracy of the order going...
Read moreTo be honest this location is 10x better than the one in south elgin. Part of that is that it’s less busy but the workers are so much better. I came here at 5:45ish pm and the only person behind the counter was the little boy who looked 14. There was a bit of a line cause he was doing the orders and the cash register at peak dinner hour and he was working so hard. Then the guy in front of me goes up and asks for 3 burritos, a bowl, and a quesadilla. The little boy has to do all this by himself and is rushing. Then the guy in front of me orders extra everything on one of the burritos and then gets mad because its impossible to fold and demands for a new burrito. The little boy calmly makes him a new one but this time the guy gets queso, pico de gallo, and red sauce on his burrito, then gets mad when there is liquid leaking out of the burrito. Sir you are the one who made that burrito. Finally the dude gets through and when I pay I tip the hard-working kid. When I put a dollar in, I notice the tip jar is empty except for a few coins. People these days are really so rude and impatient these days. These kids back there are hustling and doing their best and all of these reviews are so negative. As someone who worked at a chickfila when I was a kid, I know how difficult rushes can be. Overall great food and...
Read moreThis location has a chipotlane. This was the second visit to this location for me that week. The first visit, my order was wrong so i wanted to make sure this one was correct. The girl running the food pick up was frazzled and rude. We pulled up and our order wasn't ready. She just stared at us. We asked if we should just wait and she shrugged her shoulders. She could have asked us to pull into a spot, but not knowing what to do we pulled back around to the end of a now six car line. When we finally got back up to the window and checked our food, the order was wrong. When we pointed out that it was incorrect the girl again shrugged her shoulders and told us she can't do anything about it right now...I totally understand being busy, and I sympathize with our food workers who are short staffed, but her attitude and responses were ridiculous. I went into the store instead where the girl in the front had no problem remaking my order correctly and was very sweet and professional. It's unfortunate that the ignorance and laziness of the chipotlane employee is what sticks in my head about this last visit. There are two other locations near by in south elgin and st charles. I recommend...
