The UPS Store — Local services in St. Charles

IF YOU ARE RETURNING AN AMAZON ITEM MAKE SURE ITS COMPLETELY SEALED!! They will not let you borrow tape. Is there a policy to them not letting us use tape just to seal up one side of the box? When I went in I had everything boxed but left it open so they could see the item in the box. The woman stated it had to be sealed. There was tape, on a roll, 4 feet from us and she wouldn’t let me borrow the smallest piece of tape. Instead I had to buy a roll at $7.50 for 2 feet of tape. I’m not even upset with the woman that helped me as she seemed to just be following policy. There’s a roll of $7.50 tape that has only about 2 feet taken off of it inside Taco Madre, next door, for anyone who has the same issue I did.

Edit: in response to the reply from the owner. I am not sure what else there is to say? I either was put in a situation of driving home to get tape, or buy the tape you all supply for $7.50. I thought for your businesses sake just letting me use some of the store’s tape would have gone a long way, instead I’m now writing a review and warning people to tape their boxes before coming to the store, otherwise you’ll have to pay $7.50 for tape. I left my tape next door at Taco Madre in case someone needs to use some tape and don’t want to pay the $7.50 to buy a full roll of tape, and could just use the one that...

The staff is always friendly and very helpful! The younger woman with black hair is super knowledgeable and always greets me with a smile. She was training a new employee last time I was in and had lots of patience. I walk with a cane and always have access to convienent parking. The greeting card spinner is awesome- wish it was updated more often. 🙂 I pass up 2 other possible UPS locations to come to this one!

On the down side: I have noticed is there is a heavier set man who I have seen only a few times that must be a heavy smoker since I am very sensitive to the smell and it bothers me. Luckily, I don’t see him very often.

A suggestion would to install self opening door!! When I am walking with my cane and have a box or two to ship, it’s difficult to get the door open. At the holiday season I have seen lots of people with this issue. Frequent customers who Multiple boxes from your location always have to try to balance things just to get in your door!!

Went here to print boxes that would then be cut out and folded up. The employee suggested heavy weight cardstock which turned out to be the worst for the job and it seems like they were pushing the most expensive cardstock to make a bigger sale. The boxes couldn't be folded as the cardstock kept breaking because it was too thick. Then we realized when they were printed they were shrunk to fit the size paper (we did not tell them that was ok to do) and the boxes don't even fold together correctly. Over $50 of trash. Called and talked to the manager who never took responsibility, kept saying we were wrong and refused to make it right. Then started LYING to me about what happened. Then she HUNG UP ON ME. Will never return to this location again and most likely will avoid UPS store in general for future projects as they obviously don't care about customer service or even doing their...
