Alex, our waiter was great, as was the woman who greeted and sat us with our reservation. The occasion was a simple birthday dinner for my dad, so I brought my 2 young kids, 12 and 7. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a kid's menu. Our burgers were great, and dad's Filet Mingon was great as well. A tiny bit scorched on sides (but not sure if that was how it's supposed to be) but my older daughter ordered the regular Alfredo and rarely is that a dish unlike but it wasn't super great. No disrespect, but perhaps it was a "grown up" Alfredo. We all tasted it and it was different, pardon me if that's "how it's supposed to be". My other daughter had the kid's spaghetti, and she liked that. Overall, food was great and decently priced. The one turn off was that it seemed like we were rushed to go, about an hour in. Maybe, that's typical but we were asked if we wanted take out boxes already. Which may have been just because it was around 7p and they were just bring "helpful" but that was a tiny bit bothersome. I like to be considerate so I wondered if we were running long as we were in the "gazebo" area and maybe it was needed for patrons who had larger parties than 6 and were buying drinks. We're just a fam of 6 enjoying a birthday dinner on a Tuesday evening. Fun experience overall, a couple years back hubs had a great date night dining experience here, so we wanted to share with the fam. Clean bathrooms and 'always something to look at' atmosphere and tasty dishes. Just, maybe hold the Alfredo. 😉

GETTING HERE IS A MUST DO!! Supper Club HEAVEN. Tree INSIDE of the building? So cool. Saganaki, yes... steak tartare? (Only the best) Calamari? Worthy of beach dining. French onion soup with cheese dribbling over the sides? Of course! the best! and oh, yaaa! Blue cheese crumbles👀, on anything you can shake a stick at!! Yup. Oh & Prime Rib?👀 ...ONLY the best!! Carrot cake dessert? DELICIOUS ( I stayed up to wee hours of the morning getting down every leftover forkful🏆) no shame or regrets!! Luxurious seating anywhere & decor, Chic art with changing menu art to Captivate you everytime! - golden dimmed lighting, comfy massive Stone fireplace (floor-to-ceiling ...seemed so big children could play inside of it! ) 🤯 we were so lucky we could get there this holiday🎉...and EVERY TIME (any time, like on a Tuesday) we have- top service & gold standard superior food has been on point & generous leftovers ALWAYS ♡ yummmm ♡🎉 Dear owners & family of St. Charles Place: thank you for- truly - the most gracious, happy, & EPIC supper club / lounge / bar / dancing on NEW YEARS EVE I have had in about 20years ♡ we were in Supper Club heaven and yes, of course we'll be back! This place has gone downhill big time. Or when the owner is away, the staff doesn't care. I took my wife there for our anniversary. We waited 40+ minutes to even give our dinner order, AFTER we had our mediocre baked french onion soups. The shrimp dejonge dinner had 5 pieces of shrimp. Just like the appetizer, just $15 more because it's served with COLD vegetables that should have been hot. Had ZERO bread crumbs and the shrimp had a fishy, not so fresh taste. My wife's steak was waaaay overcooked, yet her mashed potatoes were literally cold the moment it was served. The waitress forgot her salad entirely. Then had the nerve to charge me for 2 cocktails after she removed my 2nd drink before I was even half way done. I never leave bad tips. Tonight I did. This is the first time I left there with uneaten food that I did not take home. Now here's the funny part. I ordered Absolute on the rocks. They charged me a dollar for the rocks! There are much better restaurants in the area than this expensive disappointment has become. Never again. Ever.

Tonite was very disappointing, my friends and I had reservations at 7pm. We arrived early about 6:45pm. We were told it would be short time to be seated. We went to the bar and waited for our table About 25 minutes later we still haven't been seated. They were busy so it was understandable. The owner then asked someone to seat us at a table in the bar. We were seated, again that was fine. 10 minutes went by no service yet at our table. All of a sudden we hear our name announced over the speaker? We were then asked to move to the dining room. Great! We were seated, waited another 12 minutes for a server to come to our table. We ordered drinks, it took over 15 minutes to get our drinks. We ordered appetizers same time. 30 minutes later. We ordered dinner when apps arrived. 55 minutes later our food finally came out. No during this whole experience our server never once apologized for the wait. We then made a comment and he finally said they had a party in the banquet room and that was why there was delays. Our food came out and the owner came to the table and asked if everything was good We all yet to even take a bite. He asked to cut our steaks to see if temps we good. Mine was a bit over cooked but I didn't want to say anything. My dinner was a blackened pepper steak. My first bite was like eating charcoal. I tried another bite and it was the same. I couldn't eat anymore. Everyone else's dinner was good. After everyone was done with dinner the server came over and asked if I needed a box. I said no I'm sorry the dinner was no good. He never even apologized and took my plate away. 2 minute later the owner came back to our table and said you told me earlier the steak was cooked ok. He never once apologized as well and said you must not like pepper. He asked me numerous times if he can get me something else. I politely said no thank you. I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes for something else. The whole dinner experience was over 2 1/2 hours and the owner said that's sound about right! Never once had a dinner take that long. Our bill came and I paid for the entire bill. Never asked to give us any compensation for our experience. I dont ever insist or ask but sometimes you would believe customers should be taken care of. We do frequent here time to time and never had a bad experience before. This time was awful and since no one seemed to care we will not me back. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area with better...

We had 4:00 reservations, party of 7. 3 of us arrived promptly at 4:00, the first ones into the restaurant upon its opening. I understand people having a bad day in any business, but wow this hostess must have had a bad day BEFORE arriving to work; I certainly hope she's not part ownership, I can't see that, you've been here too long to conduct business this way. So she wasn't friendly, ok and so I was the one who greeted Her. I told her we had reservations, she looked & confirmed who we were & proceeded to ask us if we wanted to wait for the rest of our party or be seated. I responded to please seat us and we'll have a drink while we wait. She in turn proceeded to seat a party of 4 whom walked in After us. (We arrived right when the doors opened for reservations at 4:00.) No verbal acknowledgement of perhaps to say; let me seat this party and make sure your table is ready & I'll be right with you all. After we were seated, we were greeted by our Server & I asked her if I could put my bags (1 gift bag and one tote I had a gift in) on the lovely little side table by our large round table. I grew up working in this industry, I darn well know these little side tables are not for my convenience but the Servers, so I courtesly asked seeing the resturant wasn't full nor filling up. The Server said yes no problem and she took the bags and put them On this table. Minutes later the hostess appeared, still not a word or eye contact and proceeded to take the bags Off the table and said; these tables are for the servers, And put the bags on the Floor! On the Floor. The Server came by directly after as if she knew exactly what happened before I could even tell her and picked them up and said I'll put them here on the shelve for you. (Shelve was right behind our table) That said, it was a bad first impression, all from the face of your resturant upon walking in, then putting my bags on the Floor offering no decentcy towards it or us. Otherwise the food was Great, our Server Jamie was Great and the...

Odd that this establishment has rave reviews but from my experience, not so much.

From start to finish…. Being welcomed into the restaurant, I was not, i was greeted by a person who had no interest in welcoming my party of 3, maybe be an off day for that person be cause he couldn’t get up from his chair to even greet us, but whatever .We were then seated by a woman who had no interest in being pleasant, but whatever. To be then lead into some kind of strange semi private section when there was clearly enough room in the main eating area which looked more inviting and lively, but whatever. Our area was shortly joined by another couple, they looked like how we felt, mistreated and underwhelmed by their experience and within 10 mins after being seated, they decided to leave. The couple had walked right out with the look of disappointment, but whatever. To be then greeted by our server,…. He was well kept and mannered with the exception of him rushing while taking our order and not being mindful of his attention to us but to other tables, but whatever. Moving on,….. after an hour from placing our order we received our entree and my wife’s $18 burger was dry and tasteless and my $62 medium rare Delmonico steak mostly fat and didn’t have the flavor of a $62 steak, fortunately, I had the bernaise sauce to give it some flavor, my unwanted mash potatoes were dry and had a terrible French onion taste to them……which seemed like a poor example, but whatever. Some may think that this review is being over reactive but if I’m spending money with a certain level expectation, I should be entitled to it. I work hard for the money I’ve earned.

With all that said and after many years of passing this restaurant, seeing the crowded parking lot, checking their website with the rave reviews and the talks with my family to one day eat there……… we finally get there and were utterly disappointed and vowed never to return.

Our experience maybe an isolated one in comparison but for me, one bad experience is...
