Visited on Tuesday May 7. They have limited hours open mostly for lunch. The interior was nothing I'd expect walking in from the outside and it's highly professional looking and nicely decorated. I had the Gourmet Cheese Steak with the shaved ribeye steak which was tasty. My wife had the Butterfly Shrimp and Chips. She was pleasantly surprised at how many shrimp she received. Her olie's were really well cooked. They call your name and you pick up at the counter. I think it be a nice customer service touch if they brought the food to you but the staff consists of a few individuals. I read a few reviews mentioning the higher price. There are certificates you can buy off The Value Connection or Shop and Save to save a few dollars and give them a try. If you don't mind walking like myself to avoid the meters there's parking by the lumberyard and it's roughly two blocks for a few minutes. Would have given a five probably if I ordered the half pound burger which probably would of had me walking out the door more full and satisfied. Excellent food, presentation and...
Read moreI went here for the first time on a Saturday, and I was very pleasantly surprised. It is a cute, smaller diner, but there was plenty of space inside. It is not at all crowded. It is extremely clean, and the staff is very nice. The food was absolutely amazing. I had a chicken caesar wrap that was perfect and not ridiculously small like I have had at other places. I also had a peanut butter twist cupcake that was to die for. I am not always the biggest fan of cupcakes, and I generally don't like frosting. However, they looked too good, and I had to try. It was microwaved for just a couple seconds, and it was heaven. Not too sweet with the perfect amount of peanut butter flavor. The chocolate filling made it taste almost like a chocolate lava cake. This is definitely a great place to eat, and I will be returning. The absolute only thing I would really like to change is that there is no free water. You have to either buy a pop or a bottle of water. I no longer drink pop, and I really do not like paying for water. Other than that,...
Read moreMy favorite restaurant, their Strami burger is out of this world! They always have such a lovely selection of delicious filled cupcakes that look as good as they taste. This is the only restaurant I get dessert at, and I like to buy extra to bring home. Their Ollie's (fried potatoes that are kind of like a cross between potato chips and waffle fries) pair well with their cheddar cheese sauce, and are a unique side.
The owners and staff are great people and as a former restaurant manager, I really admire how clean it's been every time I've been there. It's got a really nice atmosphere too, kind of a modern take on a classic diner. I also really respect that they focus on lunch and picking one thing to do and do it well. It's really nice supporting a small business that's owned and operated by a husband and wife dynamic duo, and I highly recommend...
