I recently dined at this charming spot near Tower Grove Park and couldn't wait to try their signature dish; the Salmon Lover poke bowl. It did not disappoint! The poke bowl was a vibrant mix of fresh ingredients and bold flavors that made every bite a delightful experience. I paired it with a brown sugar boba drink, which, while visually appealing, unfortunately fell a bit short on flavor. : Despite the slight letdown with the drink, the overall experience was fantastic. The restaurant's ambiance is inviting—brightly lit and spacious, perfect for a casual dinner with friends or a cozy solo meal. The staff was incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. One thing to note is that parking is exclusively on the street and comes with a fee, so plan accordingly. Nevertheless, this place is a treasure for poke lovers, and I can't wait for my next visit whenever a poke craving hits!

poke one was so good! the place seems to be run by a family, and has a very friendly ambience. they have a good variety of boba too. i built my own bowl with salmon, edamame and more while my companion got the hunt valley classic with salmon and tuna. my bowl with 3 portions of fish was very generous, although i think there should have been more sauce. the fish was very good and not fishy at all. the hunt valley bowl was good too. we also tried the popcorn chicken which was fried and seasoned to perfection! for drinks, we got a brown sugar milk tea and matcha milk tea. the brown sugar milk tea was more fragrant than i thought, and the matcha milk tea was good too. we really enjoyed our experience dining at poke one and will be back!

I originally went to explore the independent bookstore nearby, but the intriguing storefront of this spot caught my attention. Inside, the space was spotless and well-maintained, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. They even brought my drink to the table when I decided to stay for a bit. I ordered a lychee slushie, which was perfectly sweetened to my taste, with boba that had a soft, satisfying texture. Unfortunately, I had already eaten, so I couldn’t try their poke bowls this time—but I’ll definitely be back to sample them, along with their Hong Kong waffles!

I really wanted to love this place. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. I ordered the Crab Rangoon and the Hunt Valley Classic. The Crab Rangoon were okay, but too greasy for me. You get 6 per order. I managed to eat 2 and will toss the rest. The Poke Bowl lacked flavor and was extremely dry. I don't think they remembered to add the Ponzu and Classic Sauces. They were closed by the time I got home. However, even adding my own sauce didn't seem to help. The flavors were just off and I was unable to finish my bowl.

I'm so disappointed because I love Poke and have eaten at some really great spots around St. Louis. Poke One is close to my house, but doesn't compare to other locations. Maybe it was just an off day and their other offerings are good. So much for...
