This place is what you would expect—bargain Chinese food. Not terrible, but not particularly good either. I got the hunan beef, which was alright. I wouldn’t recommend the fried wonton appetizer, which had almost no filling and was flavorless. Note that its $10 minimum for credit cards, and they add a small fee on top of that.

Average MO Chinese take out. Gave them a try since they do Springfield Style Cashew Chicken. It is decent but way too much soy in the sauce and in the fried rice. Overpowering soy/salt flavor.

100% St. Louis style Chinese takeout. Time capsule of delicious dishes. Always fresh and fast. This is a hidden south side gem.

Update...I just called back to speak with the owner/manager. "John" answered. He was rude as well. "Maybe you ordered the wrong thing?" Asked me that 3 times. I told him that I have ordered food from them maybe 7-8 times. Every single time that I have ordered I have always ordered that same dish. I said I wanted to talk to the owner. "Owner not here...good bye." And he hung up. Rudest establishment I have ever experienced. If I could give zero stars I would.

Worst experience. I ordered my food over the phone. Lady that answered I could barely understand. Very, very broken English. I repeated my order multiple times as well as my address. I had a feeling it wouldn't show up or I would get the wrong order. Sure enough wrong food. I called and she answered. Explained what happened and she got all over me. You ordered this food. I was calm and cool with her and she continued to interrupt me and was super mean. I finally said that she was rude and that I am reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. I said I would never do business with them and that she was super rude. I then hung up. Never will call them again. Food was average at best anyway. And I am seriously saying the food was...

Nice people running a nice little neighborhood treasure. There's a certain way I like my lo mein and they always happily accommodate me. They are one of the last places I've seen that make a Happy Box the way it should be. No matter what I order, the vegetables are fresh and hand cut, and never overcooked. They have a great variety of dishes with beef, pork and shrimp, but chicken is where they shine! General Tso, kung pao, orange, Hunan, lemon, Empress, garlic, Sechuan--- the gang's all here. The lunch combos are a great deal with lots of food for no more than $5! Try the fried potstickers, crab Rangoon and quite possibly the best egg rolls in town. Fresh, crisp vegetables wrapped perfectly--I've never had one of their egg rolls fall apart while I'm trying to eat it, which can't be said for other places. I live and work in the neighborhood and I'm glad China Dish is right here. I hope they stay for...

Avoid this place. I ordered online and went in telling the woman I had a carry out order. She went back into the kitchen and a guy came out aggressively assisting that I pay with cash or card now or they won’t make it. I had paid online, but I didn’t want to argue. I was just being polite, and the guy was very rude. Finally got my food and left. The food was not very good quality. The dumplings I ordered were hardly edible, and it’s the worst crab Rangoon I’ve had. The rest of the food was okay.

I’ve been keeping an eye on my credit statement to see if the first charge was removed, and while they did somehow lower the amount, I was still charged an extra $4 for nothing. All of their food is also priced higher than the menu for the online order, so I paid more when I got there. Such a...
