The location(s) on the hill were a regular lunch stop for me before they closed. I was excited to see they were back, but this wasn't it.
I ordered the burnt ends and ribs combo. The ribs were severely overcooked, dry, and gray with no apparent smoke ring. These were probably oven baked. The "Burnt Ends" were decent, although the sauce wasn't caramelized much less burnt. The cornbread was completely inedible except for one bite in the center, which wasn't very good. It was dry and crusty around the entire edge like it was cut 2 days ago.
The guy working the counter was great, very personable, and attentive. The fries were some of the best in town, IMO.

We came back to St. Louis and found it changed locations, shares a spot with a Mexican restaurant, and we went at lunch time and rang the bell and waited and rang the bell and waited and waited. No body ever came. They were working in the other kitchen, and we never did get to eat here again. It smelt like Tortilla chips and they were playing very loud spanish music. Will kot try to go again.
