I was out with friends at a neighborhood pub and we ordered Domino's Pizza. I ordered around 9:30 p.m. and the app said it would take about 30 to 40 minutes. At 1 hour I called the store no answer at an hour and a half I called the store again no answer no one would answer the phone after I called numerous times so about an hour and 45 minutes later we were getting ready to leave still no pizza no one would answer the phone I did not think we were going to get it. Although the app did say it was still in quality control and it had been stuck in quality control for an hour and 15 minutes. At that time it was almost time for the bar to close so we were leaving and the delivery driver pulled up with the pizza. I was shocked she apologized that it was an hour and 45 minutes late and that I was allowed to go on the app and file what they call a claim which is their big advertising stunt that they're using that is a total bunch of you know what. The pizza was old and it was soggy it was disgusting it was not even edible after we put it in the microwave. so I did what the driver told me to do the next day because the app was down and it kept saying you cannot do a claim until the pizza has been delivered the next day it was clear so I made a claim on the app. I got a very nasty email from the customer service representative that they did their investigation and they don't think they did anything wrong they were almost rude argumentative and almost basically blamed me for it being an hour and 45 minutes late. She said because I filed a claim the next day I was not going to get my pizza replaced and I told her about the app being down I told her I called the store she said I know I looked up your call records you called the store several times before the pizza was delivered that's not good enough I said they never answered in your app does not work. That being said now I know why the service is so bad at the store because their corporate leadership is just as bad. This Domino guarantee is a bunch of hooey. It's a sales gimmick. I am done with Domino's. The pizzas that are shown in the picture or not from that night they are from a different night that were actually...
Read moreUpdate: this location hasn't gotten any better. The app said it'd be 45 minutes. At 1 hour it was still in "quality check." I tried to call, but no answer after a 5 minute hold. So I drove to the store to get it myself. But it had already been sent out on delivery according to staff (but not according to the app). So I asked them to just bring it back to the store. It was a good pizza and was still warm by the time I got back to the house. The entire time I was there the phone rang and no one even looked at it. I get it, it's understaffed like everywhere is, but it also feels under-managed.
And now....my original review. We only use the app to order to reduce human error while calling in. The drivers are friendly enough. However, make sure your order is correct before paying or letting the driver leave. And by check i mean open the box, because the label on the box may not match what's inside. But seriously, don't let the driver leave if it's wrong, because if you have to call to have them correct your order, no one will answer the phone. EVER. I clicked "report issue" link at the bottom of the confirmation email that says "Something wrong with your order? Make a claim and well make it right." It takes you to a page where you can make your claim, and then gives you the option to get a free pizza or 20% off your next order. What it does NOT do is give you the option to make your current wrong order right. When my cheesy bread order is wrong, I don't want free or reduced price pizza to buy at a later date. I want my order made right, right now. So, in conclusion, my local Domino's blows, but it seems its just consistent with the...
Read moreI wish I would have known about the photo feature on this review section. If I would have known, then I would have take a picture of how small those boneless chicken wings were. They were each about the size of a penny! I'm positive that they food preparer did that purposely.
Also, I am lactose intolerant, so I try to avoid consuming dairy products. When I order pizzas from them, I would always say LIGHT CHEESE and EXTRA SAUCE. When I would open the box, I would see that they put EXTRA CHEESE and LIGHT SAUCE. I can understand making that mistake once or twice, but 95% of the time? That's not acceptable! Again... I'm positive that the food preparer is doing that on purpose.
There was even one point to where I opened the box and could easily see that the box had been thrown like a Frisbee. My pizza was all over the place in that box. There were also a bunch of times where I asked for barbecue sauce, but they gave me ranch instead; and that's if they ave me ANY sauce at all.
I always laugh when I hear fast food workers demand a salary of $15 per hour. They don't deserve it, especially the ones in my area. Most of them probably can't even count to 15! They definitely can't follow simple instructions.
I love Domino's pizza, but this particular location (3107 S. Grand Blvd.) is a joke. I already know the managers don't care, so I won't even waste my time complaining to them.
The pizza I just ordered is submerged with cheese, so I'm about to throw it away and order a pizza from Papa John's again. Why not? It's literally a few seconds away from this Domino's...
