This place rules so much. Literally my third day in a row coming here b/c it's so good.
First time, I got the roast beef which was one of the best and most interesting roast beef sandwiches I've ever tried. Super tender roast beef + pickled radish + romesco sauce (I had not heard of it before but it's a rich and smoky sauce made of tomatoes and peppers from Spain) makes for an out of this world combo. I then got the chocolate chip cookie to go and it was really the perfect chocolate chip cookie.
Next day I had a hankering to go back and try more sandwiches. I got the veggie one b/c someone described it as top 10 on this planet. I had no idea a sandwich with zucchini and radish could taste so good. I guess it's b/c of the fennel goat cheese spread!! This place is the type of place where you eat their stuff and it leaves you satiated yet wanting to try more, so I ended up getting a panzanella to go. Very fresh.
Third day....again hankering to go back. Their staff (who are so friendly and caring and passionate for what they do) recommended the tomato sandwich. Mind blown. I had no idea a tomato sandwich could taste so good. I guess it's the combo of silky mayo + fresh tomatoes from their farm + salt of the focaccia + basil AND dill that made it to die for. Again, I was satiated yet wanting more so I had to get a focaccia to go.
I have to say that they are better than union loafers. Probably because of the focaccia and the farm fresh ingredients and their inventiveness in putting it all together. I am dreaming about what to get next b/c it's so good. It will probably be the turkey sandwich (it looks so pretty with the purple cabbage). Or maybe the tomato sandwich AGAIN b/c it's to die for. I also heard the grains bowl is incredible (such interesting ingredients such as sour cherries, capers). I can't believe I have to wait 3 days to go back. I can't...

Read moreI’m so happy there’s a new sandwich shop on Morganford! I first stopped in because it’s just down the street from my work, and I’ve already been back two more times. So far, I’ve tried the roast beef, turkey, and BLT. The addition of pickled radish on the roast beef is brilliant, and the fresh dill on the turkey makes it so bright and flavorful, but I think the BLT might be my favorite. The lettuce is so crisp, and the tomatoes are bursting with flavor.
Every sandwich comes on homemade focaccia, and it’s absolutely to die for. I can’t wait to work my way through the rest of the menu and see what seasonal creations they dream up for fall....
